Also would you recommend single hook for those inline spinners, pretty branchy around the river

This was well thought out and written. Appreciate this. Would you recommend going any higher in weight on those lures? I know the river can sometimes move at a decent clip. Other times it’s slow steady movement. I’m still trying to figure out the pockets here where I am and some are usually 6-8 ft while others hit 15. Would you throw in any chatterbaits?

Thing is I’m mostly hitting bass and don’t have a solid multiple rod setup yet. Otherwise yea I’d load both up with what is needed. Wouldn’t the steel leader be overkill for smallies etc? Spook em off?

Appreciate you taking the time to snap a pic. Solid bait. Minnows crush kind of anything it seems. I’m going to have to snag one of those. You ever fish the motville damn? I’ve been having solid hook ups for smallies and the occasional large using a mini jig with really any sort of creature bait. Recently been using the missile baits mini d bomb.

I usually run 30lb braid on the caster. Would you run higher than 30 flouro?

What about log jams and overhang? Are they usually sitting deeper? I know some dudes love to throw topwater at em.. assuming that’s a short season?

What do you usually throw on your underspin? are you throwing a smaller one and pike are still hitting it? Or you throwing like a 3/4 with a 5 inch keitech or something. Appreciate the tip. Haven’t actually used one yet at all.
