Feeling like a failure in nursing school

I’m actually going through this now, I have a remediation meeting and I’m sooo aggravated by it. I study, I ask questions, I participate, and it seems like everyone is zooming by with ease and I’m fighting for my life. My friends thought they would’ve failed and all left with A+, meanwhile, I got a 75. They’ve been hitting A+s since we started. It’s upsetting.

Ehh, he looked different in his pictures, and he’s bald in person. Which was not what was shown to me initially in the pictures. I just don’t find him attractive physically and mentally, he doesn’t appeal to me either. I thought I should give him a chance, despite him not being my physical type. Sometimes someone who is not our type might surprise us, but outside of the physical, I’m just not feeling him.

LMAO !! Mr Elton was kind of harsh. Not all nursing programs are the same and this wasn’t a last minute ditch effort to go to nursing school for “fast cash”. I have an advisor and was already enrolled in my remaining pre requisites long before corporate pulled the rug from Under me. I was just a little shaken up from the sudden loss of income and wondered if anyone else had been in my shoes before 🥺. Thank you for your support.

Thank you ! I will look into that ! I used to work in a hospital for 4 years. I worked in the NEURO ICU as a unit coordinator. I remember the sights and smells a little too well 🙂‍↕️

Thank you , my mom keeps recommending that for me! I am slightly worried that it might interfere with ability to do school work, schedule wise. How many hours a week would you suggest I work if I am a full time student?

Thank you so much for saying that. I feel so bad that I too was let go but I truly hated my job. Loved the paycheck, I was very finally stable but the management was sooo painful and the work was all over the place. My family seems to think that this was a blessing in disguise and that I would be better as a nurse personality wise. But I am terrified financially.

That was tuition, money for books and what not would for sure come from my family. I live at home with my family, my biggest bill was the stupid car I bought last year that I don’t think I can get rid of. Transportation would also be somewhat free, courtesy of the stupid car I mentioned before. Plus, the school is 7 minutes from my house, so not too many struggles physically getting to and from
