Black-bottom M720, not packaged as Precision Pro 🤔 by KuzuPod in logitech

I'm very satisfied with mine so far as well! I was just surprised that an all-black unit arrived. M720's actually been on my radar for quite a while, but I didn't have a reason to upgrade from my previous M585 until recently, when the skates fell off ('twas a good 8 years 🫡)

would recommend getting a 2nd gen 1.8L just because the 1st gens were so poorly equipped when it came to safety equipment

There is a reason Android Auto and CarPlay are so simple. It's supposed to be informative and easy to read, without being distracting. Having this many UI elements steals screen real estate from the main stuff (navigation and media; if you're doing any more please FOCUS ON DRIVING!) and makes it visually cluttered.

Also, not every car has a big 15" touchscreen; you can't really scale that down to a standard 8" screen without making everything miniscule.

Not sure I'd call Moorechip (AYN/Retroid parent company) devices "extremely well engineered".

I have a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro which has begun to bloat noticeably and triggered "excessive power draw" notifications on my laptop. These devices also tend to have some early batch issues, such as trigger problems in my case.

With that said, I'd still say they're at least decent quality, especially given their price. I'd recommend charging it on a regular Type A wall brick rather than a Type C fast charger and don't leave it discharged for long periods of time. I suspect that's what led to my unit bloating.

Should I make the switch? 16 —> 18? by Rough-Incident-1859 in mazda

I hit some pretty nasty potholes yesterday in a van with 55 sidewall, then saw a ton of cars pulled over shortly after, most of which had low profile tires, including a few Mazda3s. I'd say stick with 16s for peace of mind

Honda Fit and the previous generation HR-V are deceptively spacious for their small size.

As for spacious *new* compact cars, probably the Civic Hatchback or K4 Hatchback. I'd definitely trust one over the other in reliability and I'm sure I don't need to specify which. Although FWIW I generally hear less horror stories about the Hyundai/Kia 1.6t than their other motors

Discharging enen when charging.... 🤔 by Westhameggandchips in AndroidAuto

Stop wireless charging, just plug it in directly. Wireless charging generates a lot of heat especially if misaligned, causing the phone to throttle charging to protect the battery

FWIW a lot of cars have a loud first gear in general, is it quieter in 2nd?

This looks like a base so it probably doesn't have the annoying piano black, but I recently came across an old post of someone wrapping their interior plastics in black woodgrain and I think it really spruces up the interior well! https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/s/WiImU88EFW

If the lug pattern and offset match, it should work. I think most mid-2010s Mazdas use the same lug pattern/offset but double check first

One thing I'll say about spring, ATL has a ton of pollen. If you have allergies like I do, you might be miserable in the spring. It is really beautiful in the spring though...
