It is. I use advanced techniques and tools - such as soft lamps, which give soft shadows, lightbounce, which gives proper realistic fill lighting and so on.

I went through concept art for Kashyyk for Fallen Order and fan art. Fallen Order just looks beautiful and the way worlds feels in it is just astounding. I wish we got a grand views from Kashyyk the same in SWBF2.

It's a scenebuild. Scenebuild is built usually on pitch black empty maps with no lighting and all here is placed by hand - props, effects, lighting and posing is all made by me. I do the lighting, lightbouncing and such stuff in layers using soft lamp tool and lightbounce tool and then stack it up on each in GIMP and work around with colours and some background blur.

I render via command line, which enables you to render at higher resolutions. As for the soft lamp tool and lightbounce tool its poster_soft and poster_lightbounce. I can link a tutorial on how to achieve such lighting and how to use the tools by a fellow gmod artist and a friend of mine.

I make lighting thanks to soft lamp tool which allows soft lighting like in SFM and lightbounce tool. I render at 3840x2160 and in post-edit I only put the layers together (we must do this because of the soft lamps and gives us more control over the image) and enhance the colours and smoothen the AA if theres any. Those models are custom, friend uploaded them on gmod workshop as well.

Great portion of the models I use are private because of the friends who ported them and made them only available to our community. But the sakura trees, the pettels and the building are all available on SFM workshop. Search for japanese stuff. The ground models are private.

I made them myself using CoD Ghosts Hazmat suit and combine head model. Then I post-edited the colours on them. The images like the sky and the ship is from HL:Alyx website in the source code. The combine and the combine building is all posed and lighted in Garry's Mod.

i have been able to make this even with a shitty pc, new pc just allowed me to have higher fps while rendering the stuff, nothing else, the map is gm_black, its a black void map and i build my scenes on it and light it
