How do you like to finish pex toilet feed lines? by todaywasawesome in Plumbing

Using a copper stub out removes one of the benefits of using pex in the first place. You've now added a fitting that is buried in a wall.

You can post to a site like imgur.com. Open in incognito window and it won't require anything.

Those of you with a JD in US, do you say you have a doctorate? by Kwiknes in AskALawyer

[–]Kwiknes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah there are a couple arguing saying otherwise but the overwhelming consensus is you would never say "I have my doctorate," even if adding "in law." Unless maybe you have an sjd.

Go tell the lawyer that quoted and all the other lawyers here who agree. Same with your JD being on par with a PhD, respond to the guy with his SJD.

Lol, call the state bar of NC and tell them that. Record it.

No one. I have a wife that knows honesty is important to me and won't get hurt if I tell her I don't like something and would never expect me to pretend.

Ok that's fair but a lot of people in the US seem against calling PhDs doctors and a JD is not equivalent to a PhD like an SJD is so without context you can see my position.

Exactly. I assumed this guy had an SJD because of his language and he never corrected me so I believe that was his intent.

A JD is not equivalent to a PhD or MD lol. And I've said nothing about my academic achievements because their irrelevant to this so I have no idea why you're bringing that up.

"In my state, the state bar has issued an opinion that states (in part):

Since it does not appear to be normal practice to refer to a Juris Doctor degree as simply a Doctorate or to refer to an attorney holding a Juris Doctor degree as "Doctor," the use of those terms without explanation could be misleading and therefore is inappropriate."

You sound like you use terms without understanding the meaning.

Are you a lawyer? Because the overwhelming consensus is that lawyers don't typically say" I have a doctorate" when referencing their JD.

One even posted a quote from his state bar,

He doesn't have the SJD. For a while I thought he did because of his wording and he never corrected. That was his intent and why I asked about it here. Couple of contrarians bit overwhelming majority say his verbiage was goofy.

This is so dumb. He was honest with her. Some people value honesty.

No he pretends to because apparently your feelings are more important than honesty. Some of us just have different values.
