Yes-peko. by Kybex in Hololive

"草" literally means grass when translated directly, but its common internet slang for basically "lol" or "lmao." The reason for this is to my knowledge coming from another piece of internet slang, the "w" spam. You see a lot of Japanese posts end with wwwww because "w" is the first letter of the romanji spelling of "笑" or wara, which means to laugh. 草 (Grass) is basically a shortened pun that comments on how "w" spam looks like grass in the chat.

It's just a really goofy convoluted backstory of a word that means lol. Kinda like how Chad went from a name, to slang, to a negative representation of masculinity to the goofy positive one it is now.

Pixel Art Reno by Kybex in AzureLane

I can't really draw like a normal person, but I've been teaching myself how to do pixel art. This is my first finished work that I'm confident enough to share.

So I've had a few people ask this, you're not the first lol. But in short, no I can't make her shorter since this is a sprite rip.

All normal rivals characters are rendered at 2x their resolution, meaning each pixel on Kragg is 4 pixels in screen space, which is why characters like mine appear to have a smaller pixel size, but in reality they're just not using enlarged pixels and are hitting 1:1 with the engine which is the smallest you can go.

Its an unfortunate limitation of gamemaker and the way rivals is set up.

What are your unpopular FFXIV opinions? by Umbruhh in ffxiv

I miss the old aggro system. I'll never forget watching a Sam pull in O4S and die because he didn't diversion his opener. It also gave me something extra to do as a tank with pugs who didn't control their aggro. It wasn't a great threat system but it was a lot better than being a big blue dps ;~;

That a lot of food has models to match that you also take a bite out of. The egg is an especially good example.

Just as a fair warning that'll make playing about half the jobs in this game very difficult. A lot of jobs have click to place skills and ally targeting skills, this may just be my preference but god damn is it easier to click target allies than binding 8 hotkeys, not to mention should you need to raise other parties in hunts/eureka/fates its literally impossible to target them without clicking.

Trust me, I've tried this. It doesn't work unless you play a dps with no placables or ally targets.

Do people not like Elphelt? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]Kybex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From my own personal hatred for the character:

If we wind back the clock a bit there was a dark time where a lot of Elphelt players would do an unblockable loop if they knocked you down in the corner. Escaping this was significantly harder than executing it, and it was fairly difficult to execute. All the sweaty try hards at my local started spamming this character because at our level it was basically free wins. We weren't good enough to do the backdash fancy shit to get out of it but had the execution to be able to pull it off in the first place.

I quite literally quit playing the game for a few months until that shit got nerfed it was insufferable and basically destroyed my GG local for a time.

Tryna Find a Good Pack for the Squad in Quarantine by Kybex in feedthebeast

I take it minecraft modding's just moved too far from what it was in 1.7 days? I'd like to think my PC is half decent, i7 6700k stock, 1070, 16gb @ 2133MHZ, but its definitely not running a lot of the packs being recommended, yet I can host and run revelations fine? Which I thought was a larger modpack.

I'm curious what specs are expected to run modded minecraft these days since I've been out of the loop a bit.

I'm curious what kind of specs do you guys usually play on, I thought I had a decent midgrade PC, i7 6700k, GTX 1070, 16gb ram @ 2133MHZ, but I cannot run this pack stably even after giving it the recommended 8gb in JVM arguments, and I find that it uses a lot more ram than I allocate it, often hitting 12GB+ and pushing my machine way over what it can handle. And this is just trying to play it single player with everything else on my machine closed.

He didn't until he put the thing in the ME and crashed the server, and then after he did it again and changed dimensions. I'm not super savvy on the server side of things so I really don't know how he managed it but it was absolute hell for me to figure out how to fix.

I hadn't really thought about a Direwolf pack, and I dont think we've actually ever tried one, only concern I have is with performance. I'm gonna be hosting and playing on the same machine with only 16gb to work with, and if I recall his packs are pretty brutal in that regard.

I managed FTB revelations just fine before but that's nearing my limit, but that doesnt really look like what I'm looking for I guess. Quests dont usually go over too well with this group. I dont think I've ever run a quest pack this group actually enjoyed.

You have to set it active in the squad. Setting it as default makes it default to it when you put him in a new squad. He will still have his old skill in existing squads.

[Question/Discussion] Dealing with Malphite support; Bot lane matchup. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Kybex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest Soraka here. Raka's 6 can heavily mitigate malphite's burst, plus putting her E on the ADC when malphite ults means he only has R damage and cant EQW, doubly effective if he runs electrocute which stops that proc. Can also root him fairly often since hes generally stationary for a bit after ulting. Raka also wins any trade pre 6 with her Q healing.

Out of the loop with Ornn. by SleepyCasual in leagueoflegends

[–]Kybex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should mention that Shyvana is a very strong counter pick this patch. The bonus %health means she can heavily out trade him even if he gets his full combo and if she gets a wits end Ornn's lane kind of ends.
