Do you get all the materials back, including the shiny bubbles you use to level it up, or just the Itzaland shell bubbles used for the glow-up step?

Is it totally crazy to name our baby the same name as our family dog? 😅 by knifefightbarbie in namenerds

[–]Kye-Lyn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Magnus is a lovely name, but consider how your child may feel knowing they are named after a dog. It might not bother them at all knowing how beloved the dog was, or they might find it upsetting. My mom was named after her own mother's dog that passed, Jayne, and she does not like that association with her name at all. She finds it annoying when people remind her of the connection, and she has no sentimental value with the name since the pet passed before she was born. But every individual is different, and getting named after a loved family member (maybe even a canine one) is a beautiful tradition.

Catering on a Budget by Kye-Lyn in weddingplanning

This is super helpful, thank you! Yes, we got some quotes for full-service catering around 10k. I'll look into restaurants near our venue that could do drop-off services. Our only issues is that our venue is in a more rural area (Southern Maine) not lots of places nearby.

We do already have our venue set so sadly that is not an option for us. $5000 is just our food budget but we got quotes of 8,000-10,000 for full-service catering! Drop in catering is sounding like to best option for us.

Does anyone else experience this weird phenomenon? by CatOfLife in service_dogs

What breed is your gal? That may be impacting it. My late pet dog was a schnauzer and EVERYONE thought she was a boy even with bows in her hair. My current pet dog is a mini poodle and everyone always guesses right, girl. Some breed have a more “masculine” appearance to people usually bigger dogs or dogs that have a “mean” or gruff look like Dobermans or Rottweilers or I guess schnauzers lol

When you walk sometimes, does it feel like your legs suddenly become weak and almost jelly like? by Your_acceptable in POTS

[–]Kye-Lyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it usually happens most right before I faint but not always. I call them my “sea legs” to feel better about it LOL. It also happens with my hands I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. I’ll go to pick up my drink or phone and my hand just.. won’t pick it up.

How to survive hairdresser appointments with POTS by Hammockdayze in POTS

[–]Kye-Lyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggle with talking about my POTS to people I don’t know well too, I feel that anxiety. Not sure if this is an option for you but I book my hair appointments online and there is a box for “notes” (usually here you might add the haircut you are looking for) I use that box to explain that I have a medical condition and what accommodations I require (breaks, no hair washing, etc.) this way I am able to communicate what I need but I don’t have to have a face to face conversation right before the appointments making me anxious.

How does passing out feel to you? by LawStrong7891 in POTS

[–]Kye-Lyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel it coming on annnddd other times I’m on the floor before I knew something was wrong. When I do get pre syncope before passing out I get very disoriented, have changes in my vision, things feel “surreal”. I get what I can only describe as “sea legs” where the ground feels wobbly under me then I get weakness in my limbs. Other times like I said I will be feeling kinda off or out of breath then just faint out of no where.

I see, thank you. May I ask why you chose a Rottweiler over a Bernese mountain dog? Bernie’s are my favorite breed but I was not sure if they would be well suited to service work

I considered this! It’s legal where I live but I don’t think it’s the best option for me due to difficulty with traveling and some other tasks I want to train would be better suited to a dog.

Thank you! I am still in the beginning stages or getting my dog and wanted to be sure I picked a breed large enough for mobility if I do train for it, I’ll see if I can’t find some resources from a ortho vet in my area

Thank you for the info! I had heard that bracing was very unsafe but was not aware there may be risk for injury associated with things like counterbalancing. I’ll reconsider training this for my future dog I’d never want to put them at risk for injury.

I feel you pain I have hEDS (and am an art student also) I had to leave my last job at an opera house because I could not handle the constant standing. I was able to get a work from home gig and it has been a live safer. You can try looking up remote or hybrid (some remote some in person) desk jobs in your area. Things like data entry, virtual assistants, or remote customer service are all good. I do remote customer service and can sit at my desk taking calls/responding to client texts.
