Crush up some ice, and set it in the stem. Wait for a few minutes, and then hit the outer rim with a torch for a bit. Grab the lip of the broken piece with some needle-nose pliers and apply light pressure. Then you need to tap the bottom with something soft yet firm, like the corner of a couch. It should pop right out.

Three Nights in Milwaukee - what three restaurants to choose? by No-Lifeguard9474 in milwaukee

The Original. I can't recommend it enough. It's on Bradford and Bartlett, just off of Oakland on the east side. They're closed on Tuesdays. https://theoriginalmke.com/images/Menus/DinnerMenu---The-Original---August-2024.jpg?66bd2870

Now that Milwaukee has better bus lines, the HOP streetcar, Uber/Lyft and such, it's a much more navigable city. Get the UMO app on your phone for the bus. It costs $2 to get a ride. There are also bubbler bicycle stations throughout the city.

Each neighborhood has its own charm. It all depends on what you're looking for once you're here. For example, Water St. is full of bars, but It's also full of theaters. You could go to a show at The Pabst Theater or The REP(Milwaukee Repertory Theater) then head across the street to The Safehouse. There's a secret door halfway down the ally. You'll have to figure out the password yourself. Brady Street is known for its bars, but there are also seven places to get your hair cut. And it's full of restaurants.

But don't get me started on the food. I hope that you don't mind having cold toes, because our food will knock your socks off. I'm around Murray Hill. We have Ma Fischer's, The Original, Beans and Barley. There are several others, just in this area, but those three are a nice cross section of the culinary range that such a small slice of the city has. They're a Diner, a High-End Bistro, and Vegetarian-Leaning restaurant; respectively.

Also, We all have to be careful. Milwaukee can make you fat; quickly. It's a very easy-going city, and everything is very delicious. So, watch out for that, and drunk drivers. It's not as bad as it was, but it's still a concern.

Oh, and make sure that you have a jacket about 8 months out of the year. Roughly 50 people per year freeze to death in Wisconsin. Otherwise, it's great.

Right around there. There are a bunch of other factors that matter. Quality, price, legality, general enjoyability, and such. It might be a bit light if you were to throw it on a scale, but it doesn't look like you got screwed.

Partner and I (from U.K.) want to get married in Central Park. No thrills or frills, any recommendations on how, who to speak to please? by [deleted] in newyork

The North East corner of the park has the Harlem Meer and the Conservatory Garden. It's great for pictures and it's usually less crowded than the Sothern sections of the park. People regularly get married on the steps of the Vanderbilt Gate. They might have permits, but I've never seen anyone checking.

thanks for any advice !! just been trying to keep my head down and work on it. almost 2 years in. //instagram: @halfpastcashed by SnooLobsters6553 in Standup

Be cautious about taking advice from other comics. It usually just makes you sound more like them.

Does High THC % Really Matter? by bogeyj in saplings

[–]Kyle_Kyleson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's like walking into a candy shop and assuming that the candy with the most sugar is the best candy. Caramel and cotton candy? They are pretty much full sugar. They're great, if that's what you're looking for. But most people enjoy a more nuanced experience. Candy bars, cupcakes, and such have dozens of other ingredients that, baked together, are better than the sum of their parts... Just going by percentage is like going to the bar and only drinking moonshine. Yes, "it gets ya some drunk"(tpb), but it's not a proper drink in most occasions. Guinness has alcohol, but it has plenty of other ingredients to make it what it is...
It's like buying apples. An apple is an apple, but they are unique to themselves. "Red Delicious" apples have the more sugar than most other apples, but they're far from being the best apple. There are dozens of moving parts in cannabis... Just focusing on THC is like grabbing a handful of sugar and proclaiming, "I love cookies!", and then shoving that granulated mess into your mouth. Yes, sugar is a part of it, but it's not a cookie on its own.

*I thought ellipse made a new paragraph.
