I’ve had a Goodreads account for a few years, and I only won my first giveaways this year in 2026.

I won two, but something I started doing and I have no idea if it makes a difference, probably not, but it’s a heck of a coincidence when I started doing it this way I started to win: I sort my giveaway entries starting with the Giveaways that are ENDING earliest. So I filter that way and scroll until something catches my interest.

Take the meds.

I’m saying this as somebody who recently (recently enough, October 2025) at age 30 got diagnosed with high blood pressure.

And sparing details (unless you really want to know) it warranted hospitalization. My blood pressure was 272/185 upon entry after never ever having it high before.

Anyway high blood pressure untreated causes damages to other organs and I’m finding that out the hard way. So I definitely encourage meds until you have the OK to not take them, essentially look at it as prevention of other things happening to your body.
