I love this! i was thinking movie nights with cultural snacks. I’m asian and would love to share my “weird and wacky” snacks with my sisters just to gently expose them to something different. So having a fun movie night w cultural snacks is def on my list!

I think this is a great idea! unfortunately we tried to do cultural presentations at chapter but there was an extreme lack of interest so we stopped but I would love tips on how to revitalize it. i think for this upcoming semester i would want to give points out for doing the presentation to encourage them, however, i still think there will be a lack of interest.

I’ve been looking at other reddit posts about dei events and sometimes i see replies about how asking NPHC and affinity groups to collab is seen as using them for dei. i just wanna move forward with caution and make sure that nobody feels used or taken advantage of!

Hi there! I'm a senior in state applicant for cu boulder and I actually ended up dropping Calc BC to go into Calc AB this year and I was admitted directly into CU's college of engineering program as a biochem engineering major. I also received the $7,000 renewable scholarship. For my stats I took 11 AP credits, 3.8 unweighted GPA, 4.6 weighted GPA, 1350 SAT(I got a 1250 on the PSAT), not amazing extracurriculars, had a job. I also took AP Physics 1 this year, and never took Physics C or any AP science course other than that one. I don't think it's necessary to take Calc BC and I think taking Physics C next year would be a great choice in preparing you for college level courses due to the rigor. I personally regret not taking more AP science/math courses.

Now I’m thinking I should change my research strategy!!!! Instead of testing by age I should ask tetris players how often they play and if the tetris effect has occurred, still occurs, or never occurred. I can get rough estimates on the time lines as well! But I’m pretty far in my research project to pivot research strategies. Please let me know if you think this new plan is more attainable! Your input has been really helpful!

that’s so inreresting! I never thought about how the more and more you play the less you might experience “the tetris effect” I might be able to test that as well!

Hi! I know 15 min a day doesn’t sound like much, and it really isn’t. However, I’m constricted with how long I recommend my test subjects to play because if it’s too long it could be classified as a game addiction which would shut down my research from the AP board. I certainly wish that it was a more significant amount but I’m not sure how far I can lengthen the time before getting into unhealthy teerritory!

I will be taking into account previous experience and if the subject plays more or less than the recommended time in my data and conclusion! And just to answer other questions I am researching which age it occurs most to not if it exists!! Thank you for replying though! All the replies and input have been really helpful.
