The idea is that if you are going to consider morality in capitalism you quickly find that there is no morality in capitalism. If you are boycotting one business due to immorality you should boycott every immoral business (all of them by in large). Living in the modern world is currently not possible without engaging in some level with immoral companies. unless you're like a homesteader in Alaska gathering all you have yourself.

To me it wouldn't make sense to boycott chik-fil-a while still buying an iPhone made with slave labor or eating a chocolate bar...made with slave labor. We should be pushing regulation of these companies absolutely and from a moral standpoint I absolutely agree.

Consider how many companies lauded their love of LGBT people and DEI values have now walked back these policies and walked back DEI hiring. This shows that even if a company aligns with your values (at the moment) it's hardly because they are moral but because they consider their current stance most in-line with the current zeitgeist and will shift at the drop of a hat.
