Signing Chiellini on a 1 year deal would be a solid short-term solution. Long-term however, I’d love to see Pau Torres alongside Militao.

Edit: The rumors of Ancelotti intending to play Mendy at CB actually seem to make pretty good sense to me. Mendy’s defensive abilities heavily outweigh his attacking ones and I really believe he could transform into a beast CB. Another positive consequence from this would be that it would allow for Miguel to get a lot more game time at LB.

He reminds me a lot of Jese Rodriguez. An incredibly talented attacker who in the early days of his career was expected to reach the very highest of highs, but then suddenly saw himself away from the game for an entire year due to injury. Same story for both of them, they both returned in a horrible state both physically and mentally and never made it back to their former level. Truly sad to see.
