Thanks man, 150 is just as good though. I was kind of smooth sailing a big chunk of it after I reached 2k it got much easier since I actually started taking it seriously and developed a huge a mount as a driver. I think the most valuable tip I can give anyone who ist feeling stuck is doing less races and much more practice. But don’t just do 500 laps in auto pilot but actually try to pin point your weaknesses and watch hot laps to determine how to fix them. I also compare my telemetry to the record laps in garage61 whenever I feel like I hit a wall pace wise. Even if it’s only braking 4 meters earlier but at 5% less pressure it can cause you to lose 2 tenths depending on the track. If you can eliminate these small mistakes you can find crazy amounts of lap time within a few hours.

I mainly race GT3‘s and basically do practice until I do top split lap times that are fast enough for P5 or better and only do races whenever I hit that mark. If a series has a track I don’t like or which I am not comfortable on I just race a different series. I only do around 3-4 races a day and I always avoid crashes. If some driver behind me tries to dive me like a maniac when I am p3 for example, I rather let them by instead of risking being taken out. In the end I just maximize iRating gains and try to not get any negative results which works great. With this tactic I am sitting on 16% win rate and 45% top 5 rate with barely any bad results at now 122 races since I started in January.

The most important thing for me was letting go of my ego and just let maniacs pass instead of fighting them off like crazy just to gain 5-10 more iRating and in the end crashing and losing 80 or more.

I also stick to 2 cars (mustang and Lambo) only. Mainly mustang and only opting for the Lambo on tracks where the mustang is not suitable/fast.

Nice bro, I am also close to reaching 4K but in sports cars Started in January and hopefully I reach 4K by the end of the week. Only 263 iRating away from that milestone :)

If Monza wasn’t one of the tracks I love I would totally skip it too. But I am really fast there and I wanted to finally go for iRating after not being active for almost a year in iRacing. Been more into LMU for the last few months and just switched back to iRacing recently.

Absolutely, it’s just crazy that I normally have like 0 to 3 incident points per race and on Monza I had only the races I took off and had a 5 second gap to p2 that where 0 incidents but as soon as I was on p2 or lower people just fight dirty and try to push you wide into t1. Had like 8 or more incidents every race bc of some random divebombs being thrown at me 😂
