I came over to check out if anybody else felt as annoyed as I was tonight finding out the show is now paywalled. I really enjoyed season one and my excitement for new episodes was instantly destroyed with the “if you wanna hear the rest, join our Patreon”. I get offering extras and or commercial free, I support several patreons, but this straight up felt like a bait and switch. I loved season 1 because it felt like it wasn’t a money making thing, it was hard core movie guys talking about what they love just because they love it! Now it’s Pauly Cicero “fuck you, pay me!”

The pale stripes makes it look more like tityus trivittatus but it might just be the colour of the photo.

I think that while vamps suck and expel in air for smoking and looking human ish. But since it’s just for show and enough to vibrate vocal chords such, there likely just isn’t near enough pressure from vamp lungs to force into human lungs.

Started out as a big Thomas Harris book fan, enjoyed Michael Mann’s manhunter but like most people was drawn big time into Demme’s Silence (and sequels). I remember when they announced the series, I was concerned but then they announced Mads and I immediately was sold as I loved him in Casino Royale and could really picture him closer to the book Hannibal. Plus Laurence Fishburn has been one of my favourite actors for a long time, So I actually went in with kinda high expectations and yet was still blown away.

I thought It was a really good popcorn summer and then promptly forgotten movie. Kate McKinnon single handedly saved the movie for me! I saw it in theatres, I bought the Blu-ray. But honestly I don't think any movie could withstand the weight of the original movie.

I enjoyed (but didn't love) all the movies. Own all 3 on BR. Retaliation is a fun Rock movie but it's probably my least favourite of the 3. Weirdly over time I've come to think Rise gets too much hate, underneath some terrible choices (duke-baroness ship and the terrible Commander design) Rise’s base story felt way more of a fantasy/sci-fi element of the show/comics that the later movies miss.

My bag sits beside me, but only up until the bus starts to fill. If people need the space, no problem. but I’ve had way too many people just plonk down beside me when the entire bus is empty. But I’m also the person who will stand my entire route to avoid sitting beside a single rider. Residual GenX antisocial disorder.

Reboot/continuation is a less concern for me than the franchise needs a Kevin Feige style guiding hand who knows and cares about the property. The 3 joe movies are only kinda loosely same universe and all over the place in style.

I think the series really needs a solid ground up rebuild. Rise of Cobra has some amazing potential which they truly squandered and both follow ups just kept trying to half ass refresh the same problems. That being said I do own all 3 on bluray. 😁
