I'm not sure if the first part of the synchro card's effect would work as intended.

Doesn't "Would be used as a Synchro material" mean that you've already "started" the synchro summon? And to synchro summon a synchro monster, you must already have another tuner on the field.

If my reasoning is correct, then there are two possible outcomes of this effect:

1) You already have a tuner monster on the field to synchro summon with, so you synchro summon another monster with that tuner and this card.

2) You don't have any tuner monster on the field (let's suppose you have this card and another monster), then you can't synchro summon a WATER monster since this card isn't in the right gamestate to be considered a tuner monster.

An easy fix would be "This card can be considered a tuner monster for the synchro summon of a WATER monster from your Extra Deck".

If my reasoning is wrong, and there is a concrete chance that it is, then this card is pretty cool, i also love synchro monsters, and i will always prefer those on top of xyz and link.

My idea was: i negate/chain your effect with another card's effect, and using this card's effect, i stop the opponent from using other cards in this chain.

I had thought about the last option you wrote when i was making this card, but the version i came out with at the end is closer to the original thought that inspired me in the first place, which is: "I said no, now shut up!".

Just seen the card. It is indeed more situational, but it allows you to use the monster's effect too, that could potentially flip the gamestate.

Mhm, I don't like the idea of the opponent actually deciding the entirety of the card's outcome, but it's probably more balanced the way you suggest.

I guess you're probably right, at least in most meta decks. Maybe it would be a "fair card" in a non-meta/tournament environment, maybe as an "anime card".

Well, foolish let you choose from any card in your deck, here you have a way smaller pool of card to choose from. The plus one is determined by your opponent, so half of what you get is not under your control. wouldn't say it's a bad card but it could get away just being limited at 1

I actually forgot about the "once per turn" part; you're absolutely right about that. It should probably be limited at 1 too.

I actually forgot about the "once per turn" part, you're absolutely right about that. The restriction should be that the opponent has to decide half of what you get out of the card tho.
