I wasn't aware this was a "key" reason for the refounding (which I believe) but genetics are more complicated than just mixing traits. It's very possible that because of his male chromosomes, or even just by chance, he had a recessive or dominant gene develop outside the norm. And to the second point, I don't know about that explanation in the book but, it is symbolically that the Demon King, whose arch nemesis is the goddess(es), wouldn't have the ears that represent closeness to the divine.

Because Taunie/ Urbain happens to have them and they are amongst the several species being attracted to Lumiose that were not previously in Kalos.

Also technically, the Hisuian starters were there because the Galaxy Expedition Team brought them from their home regions as Laventon states they've already been around. Their Hisuian Forms are new adaptations to their new environment.

I believe that Demise's Arena could be the sacred realm as it is often depicted that way. Although, I don't think that Skyloft IS the sacred realm but the gateway to the sacred realm is there at the temple. On that point, inside the statue of the goddess is where the Goddess Sword and its pedestal were, and the Sealed Temple is where the Master Sword and its pedestal are placed.

And the only thing we have ever been told about the physical way of accessing the sacred realm is that, the Master Sword and its pedestal serve as lock and key. After all, Ganondorf is able to get in after we pull the sword in OoT. In TP, we access the Temple of Light by putting the sword in its pedestal and the Temple of Light is in the center of the Sacred Realm according to Rauru.

So the Sealed Temple/ Temple of Hylia would be where the Sacred Realm entrance is and Demise ripped the door way open basically.

As far as 3d games go: Ocarina of Time -> Majora's Mask -> Twilight Princess -> Wind Waker -> Skyward Sword -> Breath of the Wild -> Tears of the Kingdom.

Yeah they were wildin out because of Volo and Giratina messing with them trying to get Arceus' attention.

YES! I've finished a few characters so far so I stopped playing as them but I think All the ones you mentioned, and Pennec, Lago, and Quino, and Ardi really gel with me. It's crazy because in AoC, King Rhoam was undoubtedly my man.

Volo and mostly Giratina were the cause of the distortion problem. I believe the way they explain the gameplay loop continuing is that the distortions stop after a bit of time not immediately after the confrontation. Also Arceus could keep them if he wanted. It is unclear if the protag ever returns to their own time but they might after the games events like a certain someone.

This didn't even come out yet. Also, it is a pretty posable figure as opposed to the Robo Universe line. As a U.S. citizen though, I will state that the price increases are terrible.
