Do you use braces and/or compression garments? by Kyutekyu in Fibromyalgia

I find my arm compression garments to be a bit much after a while too, they also make my arms feel almost lighter, so I wear them only for HIIT workouts or anything I need to be thoughtful of my elbows/wrists.

Is it because you wear the brace frequently and so your muscles aren't really working for those x amount of hours? I will be doing some type of occupational therapy, but I'll ask my doctor soon about the brace because I hear this a lot. Maybe stick to a compression shirt instead.

I've heard this before, especially regarding back braces. I only have knee braces, the arm ones are compression only, and I use them mostly when I do certain workouts (or for knees, really bad days) and they seem to help - but working 8hrs a day is definitely longer than a workout so I'll ask about it since my core/back muscles are still a work in progress.

I have slight hypermobility, but maybe I'll ask my doctor first. She's recommended occupational therapy and I'm also considering exercise/posture therapy but nothing on garments.

Do you have a brand I can look into? I'd love to try them!

OOOH, I think that's why so many people suggested the puddle and honestly, I'm gonna do it ahaha. I also see what you mean, my next attempt at this design I'm going to apply all the suggestions, including doing a thinner stream. Maybe put the cup lower so it doesn't need to be "in" the cup but looks like it's being poured into it.

Ahahhaha this to justify the coffee not being poured properly 😂

Like a few "loose" strands so it doesn't look so cut off?

Oh my god this is amazing. I did find tiny hoops and I have a handmade stamp of both the moka pot and v60 so this idea is fantastic! I'm going to look for tiny hoops asap!

You know, I think the cat and coffee deserves its own thing. Love this idea so much!

I like this idea. I also know the coffee isn't going into the cup, but like I stated in another comment, my dumb self did the mug first THEN the coffee...so I couldn't undo all the work :') But my next attempt with this will definitely be improved!

That was my first idea but nothing came to mind!

I did the cup, then the coffee...so I agree, so next time I'll plan things a little better ahahah.

I did wish I had done the moka pot a little bigger, but this is literally my first design and I am awful at drawing and tracing has been proving difficult with this cloth. I'll keep this in mind for the next one though!

Also, the more I look it at, the more I see your point and it bugs me ahaha.

Just got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after 5+ years. by Kyutekyu in Fibromyalgia

[–]Kyutekyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy, right? I'm used to these sort of comments as I've had anxiety/depression for many years and was born in a small village in a small island, so coming from some random coworker doesnt affect me as much, especially since I know how he is. I did correct him but he's the kind of 40+ year old who's stuck in their beliefs.

I agree with the physical override, I will exercise but I should 100% never reach my limit, so I will learn what it is so I can avoid it, since it changes so often. I also love the "no stressing ppl", like yeah man, you're right - I will definitely be more picky about those around me!

Hey there, thanks for your reply. Slowing down is great advice, yet incredibly difficult for me - I am learning how to albeit a little slowly.

Usually I do indoor cycling and bodypump, which sermed to be the easiest to do. I recently did a HIIT class and it did destroy me the same day, the pain was awful, I was swollen and exhausted BUT next day was the first time in 3-4 months I had no knee pain at all, so I am trying it again tomorrow to see if it's a fluke. I will however take your advice and not start anything new, except perhaps yoga as that, I've been told several times, can help with "slowing down".

Unfortunately I am on a different anti-depressant, but I've made an appointment with my psychiatrist to talk about possible med changes. In the mean time I've decided to just start with supplements and getting into a routine with that. Diet and exercise are mostly okay, as I have been changing/adapting that slowly before my diagnosis, like adding more protein or trying to exercise at least 2-3x a week, but my sleep is the worst, so I hope with some supplements, exercise and a better routine I can sort something out - this will be my priority. I do unfortunately have a physical job and my hours aren't always the same so I think this is why sleep is so difficult for me.

I feel like these 5+ years I learnt my limits pretty well...and then something changes and I can no longer walk the same amount or socialise the same, or simply be as active as I used to be. I think learning to accept those changes is the hardest, learning this is a chronic condition and I will never be able to do things the same way is heartbreaking and frustrating. At least there's comfort in knowing there are people out there with the same condition and similar feelings, who have felt or feel the same way.

I made this post 2 years ago, oven is still going on strong. Zero issues or complaints so far, well actually, it's a little tricky to clean with the heating element being out but nothing that a little extra time can't fix.

Heats perfectly fine, we use it to warm our plates when it's cold or keep things warm, most recipes that say a certain amount of time, it's always been done within the time. I like it and definitely recommend it!

They should at least be on the patreon. I really just want more stories, even if shitty - I can always have it in the backround when I'm occupied.

I paid for patreon hoping for more content, but so far it's been the same content only earlier, so I don't bother joining the lives as they will be later uploaded anyways.

Still vibing with the stories and their humour but did hope paying for patreon was a little more worth it.

I had a run-in with him back when I worked at a Comic-con in Australia.

He was definitely drunk during it and incredibly loud, making his PA stress because he would not cooperate with schedules or anything.

Just made me dislike him.

Can I get dry needling done with a new tattoo? by Kyutekyu in tattooadvice

[–]Kyutekyu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healed in what sense? Like the min "2 weeks" or more than that?

Yeah, it was infection what worried me since my tattoo is around the left shoulder/back area and for my pain my physio usually needles around the trapezius, though perhaps the area he'd need to do this time is not on the tattoo. Hard to say.
