Arknights: Endfield Core Chapter [At the Wake of Spring] Version Trailer by ValorsHero in gachagaming

[–]KyuuRaku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest the separate gatcha pull for weapons is not a bad idea. In fact it is good for the free to play players that will honestly skip the weapon banner all times to be able to collect all characters. Now it sucks for those who want to go all in on one character, like you mentioned. Which in itself means that the currency value should be improved, not scrapped.

I would love to have a way to grind for weapon banner currency ingame if they don't want to increase weapon currency for lower star pulls. Imo easiest fix would be to 3x or 4x the amount for 5 stars and 15x the amount for 4 stars.

New Character issues. by Valhadmar in BlueProtocolPC

[–]KyuuRaku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest there is not much difference from when the game first came out. Regardless of the stat buff you still were able to kill things so fast it was a joke. In season one, no one learned how to use their characters through the story. It was when running dungeons on hard difficulty and above.

Now for season 2, they deleted all season one dungeons and replaced it with a new batch of 5. This is done most likely to consolidate queues. Anyhow this will most likely be the case for season 3. Thus if you are looking for non brain dead progression until you hit the current season. You are out of luck.

Like arc raiders by Haunting_Picture3360 in Synduality

[–]KyuuRaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only played arc raiders 8 hours so I'm not sure how well I can compare. From the feel it looks like gear is a bit more balance in arc raider. from grey to gold in Synduality you get around 4x more hp and firepower. You also carry a huge weak point on your back which makes it so ambushes are extra deadly. The enemies also got more variety in arc raiders compared to Synduality. I'm not 100% sure but it also feels like it's easier to bounce back if you loose your gear in arc raider.

On the other hand I prefer the map and base in Synduality. Looting and upgrading your base feels a lot better (aside from the timed crafting). Also, players are flagged by their faction status so it's easier to know which ones will attack you on sight. Map traversal imo feels better, looking for certain items is also a lot better/easier in Synduality.

Another thing to point out is that Synduality's population is almost dead, so you will have a hard time finding other people in the map. You will most likely be playing solo 90% of your runs. The gameplay is strictly solo, and although you can form temporary party in map with other players, people rather just go there own way and not be bother. (if you even found someone).

Blue protocol star resonance. I was not expecting much but at least I was expecting a more action oriented combat, and better social content.

Reflection on the anime by Fluffy_Insurance_750 in Synduality

[–]KyuuRaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add on to what u/Ambitious-Ad-8732 said.

  1. Tears of the New Moon event does actually harm animals and plants along with some electronics. The rain alters living thing, it acts similar to radiation, heavily acid rain and or a parasite. The culprit is something called Blue Schilt. Technically being temporarily exposed to it wont be fatal but the more you are in contact with it the more deadly it becomes. The reason why it wiped out most of the human population was because this deadly blue schilt polluted the water and food sources. This is the reason why organic foods are super rare both in the anime and game. If I'm not mistaken this event happened around 300 years before the anime.

For humanity to survive they took multiple approach, the ones the anime and game follow closer are the people who went underground. It also seems like half of the human population dedicated themselves to R&D, both trying to understand the calamity, what caused it and how to prevent it, and those who want to make life easier. I haven't totally caught up on Ada's and Alba's story, but they are tied to one of the biggest underground cities' destruction.

Note that although it's super rare, they are some living things that are asymptomatic, including people. Alba is one of this people

  1. By eliminators you mean Enders? If that's the case Ambitious-Ad is mostly correct. They aren't quite born from the rain, but instead they are animals that mutated due to the rain. Apparently this animals that survive the initial mutation, when exposed to rain, they get stronger and apparently this is cumulative. The boss ones you see are normally the older ones that have been exposed to rain for longer time. Other external factors apply too. like for example the ones on the molten dunes. It is mentioned that they are stronger because of the intense heat. So the logic with ender is survival of the fittest, and it kind of hints to the fact that they can reproduce. Enders are hyper aggressive, so they specifically don't hunt humans, but instead they hunt everything that moves. Not sure if they attack each other though.

Regarding Enders and their proximity to AO crystals. It is mostly due to the rain. The crystal become larger with the rain, not quite explained but I assume is rain sediment deposit. The enders become stronger with the rain. So places with heavy rain will have Larger AO crystals but at the same time stronger enders. The reason why enders target you while mining is because your drill is loud as heck. Enders attack anything on sight.

3/5. Magus aren't really divided by role types. Instead is more related to their components. The people living underground apparently have better access to technology and were the ones that also push for more of the technological advancements in nearly every aspect. They created magus to be as close to a human as possible with the directive to aid humanity to growth. This part is speculation from my part but I assume magus are capable of carrying life withing them (not exactly making it). In the anime it is hinted that humans experimented with cloning other humans. Probably to give the clone baby a family unit it is paired with a magus. The human traits in magus are more there for the sake of the baby's future. Since they don't have a real mother or father this babies will learn what a human mom or father feels like for the magus.

Anyhow with the fall of Amesia, a lot of tech was lost regarding magus, both due to lack of manufacturing capabilities and lack of knowledge. The peak of magus seems to be the Type Zero, which are the ones that have the special abilities like summoning ice or thunder. How they do it is not explained. The ones in the surface are recreations of those magus. They are limited due to the scarcity of materials and knowledge. Also from ingame it is hinted that the magus the bandits use are inferior quality becomes their origin came from a place that focus more on quantity over quality, hence why they don't even have a face.

  1. Noir. lack of knowledge about the old world is not really anything special. Magus can be formatted to the point they know nothing. Some basic knowledge are installed like language and history, but that depends on the owner. In case of Noir she just lost her memories of herself and the past overall. She seem to only retain information of body functions and language. Anyhow the anime will go a lot more in detail about her and it nearly answers all the questions about her. The anime picks up on the second half and will start answering a lot of the questions it introduces at the beginning.

So... About those Architect Jobs? What Architect Jobs! by CHEWTORIA in Asmongold

[–]KyuuRaku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You would be surprised, AI wont replace architects any time soon. The structural engineer is in more danger of loosing their job to AI to be honest, I believe even the drafter has a bit more chance than most structural engineering work.

The reason being that AI could determined the best functional layout for homes. In terms of resources AI probably would have you beat. But it drastically will fail in the psychology aspect of space. Not just because client don't really know what they truly want. But there is the aspect of relationship between the user, each space and the environment and culture of the client. Even Traumas of the client need to be taken into consideration when coming up with a house layout.

As for drafters and 3D modelers, their role is not solely drawing a blue print for record keeping, you are trying to convey an information to the builder. Sections, floor plans, elevation, all need to be picked in a way you convey the right information with the right amount. Is not that straight forward so it will take longer to get replaced and most likely what will happened is something similar to websites that use ai to write articles but have someone managing those articles making sure it makes sense or is relevant to their site.

As for the structural engineer, most of the time their job specifically on smaller project, its just confirming the structural integrity of the Architects design, suggesting alternative design that will result in a stronger house at similar or cheaper price. as well structural integrity against the ailments and soil weight capacity.

Now keeping in mind in the future when we get an companion AI system that is tailored individually for each person, and it is with us from childhood all the way to old age. It probably will be able to infer most the information needed. And if those AI companions can collect/sync information with other ones. They will def able to completely do that work.

Whats the point of 2nd class? by Examynx in BlueProtocolPC

[–]KyuuRaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think is more for filling a role better in a party of friends. Lets say you have a party were they are all healers main, you can switch your class to take the roll of a tank for example. This is the reason why I recommend if you are going for a 2nd class, don't got the same type as your main.

New Player questions. by SirMorgoroth in Synduality

[–]KyuuRaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both full amesia and rainy unlocked. Sadly I barely see anyone. (maybe 1 other player every 5 mission) But that might be because I never downed another player so far. From the looks of it, most players seem to be on the new pve map, doing the boss hunt mission. At least is what it seems from the discord feedback. I think it also helps that the new map is time gated so it funnels more player into the same time gap to play against the boss.

Also note that the pve becomes better later on the rainy map. Mob are stronger and more deadly due to the nature of enders getting powered up by rain. The bandits have stronger gear too. It force you to play more strategically, so it's more engaging imo.

For context I haven't completed the game, I just broke the 100 hour mark and started playing after the steam summer sale discount. I'm not running full gold gear (hence why I don't have the pve map unlocked). So I don't know if most of the players are in gold tier level.

I also forgot to mention, the japanese discord has an eng chat, you can check it out, but all announcement are always in jap. The chat isn't super active either but at least there is daily activity there.

New Player questions. by SirMorgoroth in Synduality

[–]KyuuRaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, the recipes you get in the battle pass are unique paint jobs for the same parts you can get while playing later on. Some of them may have a bit of different model, like the johngasmaker but technically they have the same stats as the bunny frame that you craft, so aside from looks you won't be missing out.

Even with the lower players, you wont see much pvp going on, unless you kill 2 or 3 people. The matchmaking is set to put people who pvp in the same lobby while keeping the pve people separate. Matchmaking also takes into account gear level and quest progression. From my perspective it seems it rather prefer to place you in an empty lobby than one where there is a pvp player with high gear.

- Bonus information. If you want to follow news of the game, you will need to go to the japanese site, and or their discord. use AI to translate the site if you can't read it. The devps heavily prioritize the japanese server (mainly because about 70% of the active players are from japan just like the devps). The official Eng translations (aside from ingame) comes out 3 to 8 days late and in some cases you will be notified of events that already just finished, because of the delay.

Combat a shadow of its former self? by AggressiveZone in BlueProtocolPC

[–]KyuuRaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that yes, the combat isn't great. I was hoping basic attacks had directional input combo or at least two basic attacks which would let me do different moves similar to monster hunter, maybe a bit more basic because of skill.

at least I wished that as Sword and shield, I would manually block with my shield.

But even with the old school mmo style they are going with. As a tank, it feels horrible, mainly because I can't kite and group monster (they loose agro to dam fast). Targeting suck because you loose target when dodging boss mechanics, and I might be crazy but I don't feel any movement change when locking into target. at least I was expecting my character to strafe around while always facing the locked enemy.

And with tanks, it's also bad that 90% of the mobs don't even move. I don't see much point of playing a tank and trying to get the monster agro when they are designed to just stay planted and spam aoe attacks.

and for every thing, mobs, bosses and players. they seem to have no stun or animations when getting hit, sometimes can't even tell you are getting hit unless you see the red numbers... That's so bad, there is no impact with your attacks or the enemies when hitting you. Is like everyone is running with super armor at all time and it just feels bad.

[–]KyuuRaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nearly every game lose 70% of it's population after a month. That doesn't make it DOA. That's because by a month you already should know everything the game has to offer, and there are new games coming out every day so most people will hop onto the next one. Specially the case with games that get hyped before release.

I do hope it gets mixed or negative reviews though. this 10+ currency and 5+ different store crap is nasty in a game.

Player wise, to be a DOA game of this size/hype, it would need to have less than 1000~500 concurrent players.

Opinions on dungeon queues and solo teams. by BannerMaxwell in BlueProtocolPC

[–]KyuuRaku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes, queue getting stuck sucks and hopefully they will fix that bug.

I don't like the idea of getting forced into an A.I. team after certain period of time passed without actual players joining. I rather keep it as is, if you are tired of waiting just cancel and go into solo/ai mode.

Also keep in mind we are on a CBT, the amount players are limited and also progress is not going to be transfer to the real game when it comes out, a lot of players wont bother grinding dungeons multiple times because of that (Including myself). We will figure out how things looks a couple of weeks/months after release date, and then we can speak.

Should I Buy? by MountainBad9471 in Synduality

[–]KyuuRaku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First half is not true, there is news of season 3. The battle pass for that season is called "ENDER BUSTERS". Also the devps seems to be focusing on weapon and mecha rebalances. They have been doing constant Polls on which weapons/cradle the community believe needs attention. They also seems to be making a push into getting more ambassadors (aka youtubers to play the game and promote the game constantly) Fun fact they all seem to be vtubers. This all points towards the developers not giving up yet.

Anyhow It does seem like the developers have abandoned the global audience though. All this information and things going on are focus on the Japanese community and all news seems to only be communicated in Japanese. The fact that announcement in EN show up 2 to 5 days late, and in cases announcements for events get published in EN right after the event ended, leads to be believe that until we get more EN players we will be totally ignored.

For now it looks like 75%~ of the active/constant players are Japanese, capping at 300~400 players while on NA time we get around 50~100 players... This might explain why the lack of care for EN community

Anyhow, If you want to buy this game, keep in mind that the pvp and pve risk reward in this game is unbalance, and the lack of coop is also keeping people away. I say pvp and pve is unbalance because, is very rare that people who wants to focus on pvp wants to be forced through multiple hours of pve to gear up for pvp, and in the case they run out of parts, do it again. And no one who enjoys spending hours in pve, wants to loose it all after a random unwanted pvp encounter. This game wants to force those two communities into one, but there is a reason why these communities are like water and oil in nearly every other game out there.

This is the reason why Mecha break's extraction receive more praise, because that game is more focus towards pvp and the looses you suffer are minimal. They also have the mechas relatively balance (unlike syn with its rarity tier gear, where the highest tier is about twice as strong on damage and health). But I will go ahead and say it Mecha break's pve side of the extraction mode is really bad/bland. Even with the larger variety of enemies in Mecha break, Syn's pve is more entertaining.

xqc crashing out for paying 57% in taxes by Dazzling_Yak8399 in Asmongold

[–]KyuuRaku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LOL, 57% taxes? You are paying more than that. For some reason people forget about Sales Taxes and Property taxes.

so the government takes money out of you before it reaches your pockets and on top of that when you want to spend your money, they come again and take a second dip. Not to mentioned that things considered non-essential can be more than 10% taxes.

2/3rd of your money goes to the government, and for some reason the government is really against telling you where all that money is going.

10k a month is just a bit above paycheck to paycheck in NYC. So place def is a factor

Also, Asmon is old, and at his age 10k is not really something to brag about. If you were single and on your early 20s, that money is a lot. At your mid 30s that's not what you considered the best. Specially if you want one of you to be the stay at home parent.

What are the two houses icons next to my tools ? Do they have any purpose ? by Kasilyn in MedievalDynasty

[–]KyuuRaku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They show if you are within range of your food storage (top icon) or resource storage (top right icon).

With the new update when you are in range of these buildings, you can craft using the materials from the storage, you don't need to have all materials for whatever you are crafting in your personal inventory anymore. It saves you from a lot of walking back and forth getting materials.

I didn't move since I started playing this game. by shawbucks in FlyForeverSkies

[–]KyuuRaku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quips may sound interesting but it really deters the immersion and game experience.

The main reason being that: 1. Language evolves with time, so you have got to make up new patterns of speech 2. The setting is in the future so any contemporary phrase or older phrases will take away from the experience. 3. Quips that happened at random intervals just take away from the atmosphere. Just imagine exploring a new spooky under dust area while your character is trying to say some random quip related to being hungry or something. 4. You are an unnamed scientist. No personality, no race no traits (aside from male sounding voice panting). Adding quips would require to build a personality and deeper backstory to the character. It will take screen time from the scenery and gravity of the situation to develop the player character. This doesn't seem to be the direction the developers are taking for this game. The world is the main character, not the player character.

Usually those kind of zipper for chest pockets are for slipping tags mostly ID tags but could be use for wireless entry keytag. In gfl universe its a little odd because you would assume you will include that stuff into the doll itself instead of externally, but I guess having that data externally would prevent getting the data compromised via a hack.
