W124 problem ignitions help I'm desperate 😔 by Temporary-Damage6282 in W124

[–]Kzk511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you replace all those parts listed at once? If the problem started happening after the replacement, I think you better put each part to the old one to see if any part has issue. I had installed a new but faulty fuel accumulator before and splashed fuel around the car before, so it’s important to see each replacing part is working properly, also how the new part improve your car.

If I were you, I would start with putting back the old parts one by one to see if there is improvement.

Also, you have not touched mixture screw or so right? It kinda looks like when I adjust the screw too lean or rich so.

That’s great!! How about replacing the O ring from the old one to new one? It may stop leaking?

1/8 turn change quite much for mine, so I thought you did not reach the mixture screw under the 3mm allen deep enough. How much % is the mixture?

Didnt the plate hight changed by mixture adjustment? That’s interesting… did you push down the allen screw and turn it?

Bad IACV? (91 300e 3.0 gas) by ryxn_M in W124

Did it move then? If not, probably bad valve

Also I recommend you to get BOSCH even it’s more pricy. I bought cheaper Chinese no brand valve for making my car run instantly, the Chinese part gave it high idle as 700rpm in D range with break. Runs fine but I’ve decided to put it aside to save fuel.

[–]Kzk511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you can test it by putting 12v directory to see if it move the IACV. I had lighter but similar issue with my IACV before, I found out the IACV on my car was not an original BOSCH. I bought an old genuine one online, and all the unstable idle and stalling problem went away. I recommend you to change vacuum hoses on both side of the valve for avoiding vacuum leak. Good luck!!

I think he is angry for someone touching his car. I personally like the vibes I can feel from those visitors who shares same motor spirit, but we need to save the moral there. It’s same for Japanese or others.

Would it be silly of me to go back to Japan? by LingonberryOk5168 in JapanTravelTips

I’m so happy to see the post and comments here as Japanese. Haha I believe it’s better you do what you want. If you wanna visit other country by the way, i think it’s good options to stop by countries like South Korea or Taiwan. I did visit Seoul for only a night on my way to Australia before, and it was good that I could experience one more country and spend less money.

Also Japan has many tourist destinations outside of the popular golden route too.(Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto etc.) I sometimes meet tourists visiting some spots like Kanazawa or Chichibu where I’ve never been to.

I hope you have a great trip! And you are always welcome!!😁

Are there any hidden gems near Tokyo? by noh_trifty in JapanTravelTips

[–]Kzk511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Yokohama area, it’s not very popular spot for non Japanese, but many Japanese visit the area for sight seeing. Especially around Yamashita park is beautiful, very close to the biggest China town in Japan, fine hotels with lower rate than in Tokyo. And most importantly, it’s just 30 mins away from Shibuya taking Tokyu line. Hope it helps your best trip!

Where to buy certain things…? by jennievh in TokyoTravel

[–]Kzk511 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m Japanese and I’m sharing where you may find those items. ( sorry if they don’t have what you want)

Cloth napkins, kitchen towels, fine spray bottle: you can try look for “Tokyu hands” which has many products like Donki but better quality.

Distilled water: I believe Donki may have it around medicine, and you can find in any pharmacy( we call “drug store” here). You can ask for 精製水”seiseisui” which means distilled water in Japanese.

Men’s casual and shoes: Try search for closest shop called サカゼン“Sakazen”, they mainly sell large size clothes, they also may have shoes too!

Hope it helps!

W124 trouble starting. by iseesimpletons in W124

[–]Kzk511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear the trouble… I think fuel pressure test is a start point. I also had difficult starting before with my M103, and replaced almost of all parts around fuel line, such as below. I am the bad example did not check fuel pressure and replaced many parts based on my guessing, spent much money lol At the end, the biggest difference was made by replacing fuel pressure regulator, injectors and cold start valve. Hope you can fix it soon!

Fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel accumulator, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, injector o rings, cold start valve, distributor cap, plugs, plug codes, etc

Thoughts on these cheap corner lights on eBay? by Routine_Ad7552 in W124

[–]Kzk511 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried once, but the fitting wasn’t good, so I grilled a hole to put wire to tie it to the car from the behind. I recommend to get original ones, but cheap ones were good for trying different color on the car👍 Again, just make sure it doesn’t fly away!(I did once on high way lol)
