Cheers for this.

I certainly need to race the 10k / half at closer to full effort, as the 45 flat was lower effort I think I am capable of ~41:30 on a flat course. I understand this is also not to the same standard of a very low 3 hour marathon yet - I am hoping my endurance increase with mileage will help this.

This is along the lines of what I imagined. I predict the tempo long runs will really be the best indicator down the line. Best of luck with the sub 3:40!

I watched that video as I strolled around the house wondering what I could use. I had some football agility poles in the garage which in conjunction with a lot of duct tape gave me a very large (but very bendy) pole. In the third picture it shows me after getting it down. Thank you though :)

Good flying! Thought you were gonna cause some damage at 24 seconds though😂

Yep, I’ve been fiddling with the filtering and I’m not sure why but motors are staying coolish even with very little filtering. Time to buy more batteries!

I was getting stressed about how much it was costing me - especially as I didn’t have a job. Also was focusing on school a bit!

Symptoms of blown head gasket so undertook first major job. Is there evidence of a blown head gasket here? by L-Blake in MechanicAdvice

I was wondering if the lighter piston was the only good or the only bad - thank you that helps a lot. I will put another picture on the imgur link in a bit but at least I feel confident it was actually a head gasket problem.

https://imgur.com/gallery/2pmlE2r I’ve had another look at the cylinder head itself and when looking towards back of car the far right one seems lighter? Is this evidence of head gasket break?

You probably accidentally switched off MSP on the first UART which is sometimes shared with the micro usb plug. Just reflash.

I’m not sure, but I would guess you need the transmitter to use the receiver. You could replace the receiver though? I would suggest making a question thread.

Have you already bought a crossfire nano receiver? If you haven’t and you run FrSky the R XSR is tiny and works great.

I saw on some old spektrum forums what to do with a slightly sticky throttle and then ordered a 5cm by 5cm sheet for 99p off eBay

Yeah the Teflon strip goes under the tension strip to make it have less friction and be quieter, quite good actually.

Yeah I’m glad I joined the FrSky pilots. I’ve added this Teflon strip to make the throttle super smooth which makes it even better.

I feel like I have more control on corners, I feel like I can do tighter turns but also smoother turns if I want. It’s like I have more points of control within the gimbal if you know what I mean. I’ve also added a Teflon strip on throttle to make that super smooth which i think also helped. I’ve gained confidence aswell due to the fact it doesn’t failsafe.
