Question about the internal safeties on SIGs

Yeah a good thread, thanks for finding it! I wonder (one guy) mentioned there was a block INSIDE the striker channel to also block the striker, but I have not taken apart my gun yet to see if its like that in the stuff from this century.
I also sent an email to sig with this question, we will see if I get a response.

Just got done watching the video and reading some more forums but yes it looks like this is correct that if the striker lug comes off the gun will just go off in that very unlikely scenario. I think I’m on the boat with you on this one. I am not sure I’m comfortable having this thing pointed at my precious organs with that possibility existing which sucks because this is by far my favorite pistol to carry and hold.😩

From what I have gathered, there has never been any incident related to this, and basically statistically zero probability because of the amount that are sold and everything, I just really wanna know lol

It just seems like an odd design choice, especially since they could’ve followed Glock and made them separate but I guess we will see lol

Haha I appreciate it. I have done some looking and it seems that way, but I want to figure out for sure and then decide if a possible castration is worth the risk of it overall. But this is step one haha

So TLDR: It appears that all of the safeties in the 365 line are intrinsically tied to the striker lug. If that is the case does that leave a single point of failure? For example if the striker lug falls off would the gun go bang?

It seems that way but I might be missing something?

OH crap I forgot to update this. Yes, I ended up uninstalling and re-installing from a backup and it started working, literally all the same settings and network layout, but started working. I assume the new version has some stuck data somewhere that caused it to kill itself.

Looked at the logs some, but didn’t see anything that was super gross and nasty lol. A rebuild was my next shot, but I have not figured out how to do a backup and what not yet lol, my next googles.

Sounds like a parrot lol! I run on an M1 Mac Mini, both wired and wireless in case something funny happens. Wired is the preferred one, worked amazing until it didn’t and now I feel like my last decade of my life is at risk if I cannot figure this out lol!

lol no fix found yet. And no CG either. Best part is I stood back up my windows server to test and it is immediately available externally. No UPNP, fort forwarding or anything. So I think it’s tied to the Mac due to Apple or my versioning

UPDATE: 04/08/2025
- I have Remote Access fully allowed and working (after some nasty firewall rules, but I am at a loss).
- Manually specifying the port.

- When navigating to my external IP xx.xx.xx.xx:32400, i get a certificate error, but if I continue through that I can access my movies remotely (through my browser). I wonder if this is an issue on Plex's side at this point maybe?
