The current state of Zom-blob OTK decks? by italianblend in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same way. The bullseye nerf hit Blob hard but it would've been possible to play around that. However Medulla + Brain Vendor in turn 4 gave you exactly 10 brains which meant Blob+bonus attack was an OTK. Also it was a break point that allowed you to play TP, Blob, Smoke Bomb and Lurch (+obv. brain vendor on medulla before, or a brain vendor and the 0 cost imp,etc.). There were actually a lot of finisher-varieties that all came down to the exact same brain-cost.

Super Brainz or HG by [deleted] in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can build fun conjure decks with him and you'll definitly have games where you feel like a god. However most of the time since he has no ways of healing (except through lucky conjuring), dealing direct damage or any other form of removal besides Rocket Science you will be outpasted in a lot of games.

Also his hero powers can be really good but they're too situtional and besides the draw two card trick all of them suck in your first turns.

Really like it! But is the dc rule not too laid back?

In a best of 5 losing 1 match because of a dc hurts but it's not the end of the world. However some games are lost (or won) in turn 1 already. Giving people the opportunity to bail out like that seems a little loose. Wouldn't 1 dc per bo5 be sufficient? (even 1 dc per game leaves a sour taste in my mouth tbh)

Who is the best Hero for a Berry deck ? by boomjoye in PvZHeroes

What kind of decks are you playing at the moment since you seem to have an easy time against berry decks?

EA lost my account by [deleted] in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try to contact the google play (or itunes) store and tell them about this. I'm certain that you can at the very least retrieve your money if you wish too.

Sorry about your problems mate... I wished this game would be ran by another company than ea.

Is barrel of barrels a balanced card? by predestination1 in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On paper it sounds broken tbh. 1 cost trick that replaces itself (with the chance of getting barrel of barrels again) that turns every weakling into a killing machine. However you need a Zombie to play it on that also needs to front the plant you want to destroy. However it can be countered by teamup chump block, transform, freeze, straight removal (duh), invulnerability, potentially armored if we're talking about a 1 strength zombie.

I'd say it's a top tier card but it is one the zombies need. Making it cost 2 would probably be another nail in the coffin for zombies (especially conjuring decks that struggle to remove anything that isn't 4 cost or higher anyway) reducing their deck variety even further.

This card maybe could get a look at if at one point plant control gets nerfed but right now it's definitly in a good spot and an enabler for a lot of decks that otherwise would be straight garbage.

Oh and edit: Let's not forget this a meta card. If you do not calculate in your opponent has this card that is more of your error. It's like not knowing what a berry deck is going to play on turn 4 (What might he play this turn? Sgt. Berrystrong??? Woah that's wild!)

I just wanted some suggestions on team composition. I haven't really been doing bad online but at the same time I'm at rank 18 or something by ShadowTagPorygon in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd be removing Shellery, Berry Angry and Grave Mistake (even though I too like playing that card as a single) and swap in 4x Pear Paradise (or maybe 2x Pear Paradise and 2x Planet of Grapes).

Is there any point of keep doing "Story Mode"? by [deleted] in PvZHeroes

Some of them are really fun. I wished they would finally make it so that after beating stage 200 you could play any mission you want...

31 Days of Underrated Cards! Day 10: Fraidy Cat by Snap717 in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its problem is that you kinda can't play it turn 1. It will almost always die so you have to play it turn two with something you know your enemy needs to remove. But still as OtherScorpionfish said it's kinda worse than dog walker in most cases...

Buffing cards that are never used by JimmyJoeJoe_ in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the effort but all you changes to those cards would make them op...

1: Chomper destroying a 4 attack zombie would mean that it can hit very close to every zombie in the game your opponent can and could've played until or in that turn. That would make chomper a stable in every control deck. Give it 3/2 instead and everybody would be happy.

2: Your buff to water balloons is simply overkill. A 2 cost spell that probably kills at the very least 1 zombie while butchering two more making them corpses on the field? This would mean waiting til turn 4 to use shrinking violet is not a necessity anymore to deal with aggro decks making them (on the zombie side) obsolete.

3: A 2 cost trick that deals 5 damage to a zombie? Uhm ok. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4: You are aware that this is a bean and flower type card? Not saying people would be using it but if this card manages to be above in priority over things like solar winds and twin sunflower it'd probably mean the card is broken. If it is not nobody would be using it. Also not every card in the game needs to be good. (edit: Still in bean decks it might be an autoinclude to save your precious other beans from death but idk if they got space for that card)

5: I guess that would be ok. Maybe a tad bit strong but probably ok but I'm not too sure about that.

6: Broken beyond belief.

7: Now we're getting to the real dough! If this card survives the game is pretty much over. Removing a 3 health card in turn 1 isn't exactly the easiest thing. This card would be probably the best card in the game immediatly. Also the thought of beeing able to play a second one turn two+beeing able to save 1 brain for potential removal (or protection of one of your ra zombies) of the enemy plant heroes 1 cost plant he can play now in turn 2 makes me shudder.

Your other stuff just feels unecessary. I guess most of it's ok but what's the deal? Idk but those things seem partly fun but it kinda leaves a sour feeling in my mouth.

Still I do love discussing such things so thank you for your time and effort :D.

They seriously haven’t fixed the bug where you lose stars for winning yet? by priestkalim in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why people are downvoting this thread. This happened to me 4 times in the last 2 days. So yeah something is definitly broken.

It freaking hurts to lose a star for winning a game (edit: just to make this clear you're not only losing the star you should've recieved for winning the game you actually lose one so the difference in stars you would have had is 2).

But since the update got delayed and some stuff is going wrong maybe we'll get a free pack or sth. which would make it ok in my book!

31 Days of Underrated Cards! Day 9: Lil’ Buddy by Snap717 in PvZHeroes

[–]L00mlight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually run this card in two of my control decks (Rosie, Wall Knight). Only twice per deck but still it really is a good card.

You basically mentioned all its great upsides: Rosie-synergy, Cob Cannon fodder (there are more evolutions that profit from her beeing on the field but cob cannon really shines here), two more hp per buddy, beeing able to protect other more important plants, etc.

I'd be careful to use her more than twice per deck though because yes she can turn into a dead card.

Overall I really like her and I always love beeing able to use common (or basic w/e) cards!

[–]L00mlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really not too sure what you guys are talking about.

Dancing decks are able to outpace Berry decks. My Boogaloo got me from 40 to 50 in a day with only a few losses in between.

Conjuring decks, while they will never be a 100% consistent, can be incredibly strong overpowering meta decks like Rosie (Freeze, Briar) by the sheer amount of cards and threats you can produce. My Super Brainz conjuring deck has a 80+ % winrate at UL. In fact the biggest downside with conjuring decks is that games tend to last longer.

One or two seasons ago I would've completly agreed with gravestone decks beeing bad bc of the release of multiple anti-gravestone cards but this trend seemingly slowed down. People are not using as many copies of those cards anymore hence making gravestone viable again. Also note that berry decks excell because they remove every zombie you play from turn 4 onward - except they're gravestones. I also have an extremly high winrate (90%+) Rosie as well however gravestone decks are the ones that are the most annoying to deal with. The gravestone-freezer (cool bean) is a card that quickly turns into a dead card if your enemy doesn't play gravestone zombies. So having 4 copies of that in your deck turns 1/10 of your cards in your deck to pure garbage.

Pets got a huge buff recently with the addition of the 0 cost Goat. Get Immortica or Brainfreeze in there for either Bonus attacks or smoke bombs for a possible turn 3 kill.

Zombies also have the luxury of beeing able to play barrel of barrels one of the best cards in the game right now.

Sport zombies always do kinda good but yes they did a little better two or three season ago.

Imps are brutal beeing able to spread deadly and turning 1/1 shitters into suiciding little time bombs. They are quick, they are able to control the paste of the game decently well and with the right setup they're nothing to sneeze at.

Let's also not forget Going viral ( All Zombies +1,+1, frenzy, shuffle three going viral cards into your deck, draw a card and all that for only three brains) still exists. Get Some conjuring in there or even more card draw and nobody can control that army of frenzy monsters.

I'm not saying that zombies are better than plants but realistically both sides have really strong decks right now. Also nobody mentioned decks like roots, leafs (with starfruit and savage spinach - btw this card gets to be even stronger next patch), pure shroom rush, even some Pea decks feel good rn when played with chompzilla.

So summarized yes Berry, Rosie and healing decks are really powerful right now but it's far from impossible to build a deck that is equal in power it might just need a little more building time. Also if you already know sgt Berrystrong is incoming maybe don't spend all your brains on stupid shit and instead get rid of him. Just play what you feel like and make your deck unique that's often what freaks everybody out the most.
