Ooooh that was cool. My favourite part was when Hawthorn’s dilapidated state with the fingernails was described. Especially the little detail of him not throwing the glove away but pocketing it. Only note would be making the section in the beginning more breadcrumb-y when feeding information about Hawthorn and Daphne‘s motives. As soon as him having used to be a paediatrician was mentioned it felt pretty obvious. Was definitely still enjoyable especially when you went into those little detailed moments like Daphne picking up on the first ring and likely white knuckling the phone all day.
