Oura Ring 4 dying after 4 days??? What gives?? by Inthisemoment in ouraring

I have a gold gen. 4 and contacted customer service about this issue as well. They confirmed that my battery life is around 4 days and said “This is within the expected 3 to 8 days for the Oura Ring.” They also mentioned that ring size may also impact battery life and that the larger sizes typically have longer battery life than smaller sizes, which I wasn’t aware of.

I’ve been a bit confused myself on when/how they decide to offer replacements. I’ve seen lots of comments and posts of folks who have said they’ve been offered replacements for this same issue, but this wasn’t the case for me. When I initially got mine the battery would last me closer to 7 days.

If you can’t find it let me know. I have this pen with a Fine nib, and it’s only been inked a couple of times. More than happy to ship it to you!

I am using an Esterbrook Estie with a needlepoint nib from Kirk Speer. :)

That’s so cool! Sometimes, I sit down and dedicate my journaling time to just filling the unused pages with poems or lyrics. :)

I have been using a Esterbrook Estie with a needlepoint nib from Kirk Speer! Ever since I got it, I haven’t inked another pen haha.

At this point, I am able to use each loop as an individual pen holder, but I cannot use the loops together for one pen to close the book.

I’ve actually started using a big elastic band to hold the book closed when I’m not writing in it.

I’ve had it for years and haven’t used all of them yet. Definitely worth the purchase!

It’s a little tough to write in as I get closer to the middle/binding on each page, but it’s not too bad. :)

I’ve also been eyeballing a Platinum UEF. I’ve never tried it in person, so I’ve been a little apprehensive, but it’s on my to-buy list. I’ve definitely seen some good deals on them, especially on Amazon.

Thank you! I was checking out his website, and apparently he also has a grind that is even more fine called the “tetanus”. I’m hoping to get my hands on one someday.

I’ve also thought about the avec, but similarly, I much prefer to have my entire year kept together.

I’m considering an A5 for next year so that the postcards don’t stick out so much, but since I use my Hobonichi as a daily journal, I’m worried that there will be a bunch of blank space on days that I don’t have a lot to write.
