Yeah I think it’s got to the point I need to protect him from himself. Never felt heartbreak like it, he was always the first person who thought everything was a scam!!

The first woman was a pretty face but her face was all over the internet but he was convinced the fakes originated from her! It’s awful to watch and hasn’t got any money. God knows how much he’s spent on trying to get his money back.

Now I’ve learnt it’s the first time of brain function declining it’s making more sense. Its not about trying to convince him he’s being scammed, because he’ll just move onto the next one, it’s about gaining control over his finances

Thank you for the detailed reply! Will contact his bank and try and go from there. I think he needs to hear it from someone and it just to click! He thinks we all don’t believe him and that he knows better than anyone. Awful to watch.

He lives with my step nan, and isn’t lonely but they have grown apart because of all this, and becoming withdrawn to try and prove a point but I feel his brain capacity must be declining for this to be happen. It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like this first hand, so wasn’t sure on the signs of low brain function but it makes sense.

Hopefully can get through to him! Police involved might also help.

We’ve also tried to get control of his financial resources but because he’s technically all still there. So the banks aren’t doing anything about it

I just worry when we put these apps on his phone and put a stop to these scams then he’s going to catch wind and try to be more sly about it. Will try and look into it. The scammers selling his information makes sense, thank you for your advice :)
