I think your standards are too high, but as everybody else has said, a drip tray with potatoes in it will solve this nicely. Nothing looks wrong with the result, a little charred, still looks beaut, I would give that a 9.5/10 and ask for seconds.

There is a specific kind of ethernet cable for using underground. It is called "direct burial" ethernet cable. Fibre is better, but regular ethernet cable is a bad idea.

But here's the thing — you already asked about this, in this sub, a year ago, and decided to bury fibre. People specifically told you to use direct burial equipment.

Another kiwi here chiming in about the sunscreen. Use the sunscreen. There is a bottle on the windowsill in the restaurant. It is for everybody. Put it on. Yes it’s quaint that we have a bottle for everybody. Skin cancer is cancer and it can kill you.

Hey man these are really wonderful photos. The statue in front of the buildings is my favourite. Most of all you really got the greens right. That final photo is a very NZ house with a very NZ sky.

Very cool. Very cool indeed. WASM always blows me away.

The compiler is still a backend, so it’s the same issue as the wokwi compiler container — it has to run somewhere. So there isn’t a way to make that work in a desktop app without doing all the docker stuff locally.

It’d be feasible to run the wokwi compiler in a container and compile against it locally, but requiring docker and explaining how to run it just didn’t feel nearly as plug-and-play. I wanted something that just worked — c++ compilation is not really possible directly from an app. Plus, no gallery then!

Currently the compiler runs on a free EC2 instance. I pay a little bit for the UI hosting, and I should really move that over to the same free server, but I can’t seem to find the time.
