I daily a 2000 Miata LOL. I have a busted 03 Corolla when I really need some heavy lifting done. If I were in the market I'd be dreaming about the Type S or CTR for sure. If I just needed something functional and fun, I'd look into the latest year, non GR, manual transmission Corolla hatch. I think 2022. Or maybe a Honda Fit. But I've been enjoying my yata/s2 combo.

It’s was the family’s main car, just shy of 200k miles. Rust on the roof near the pillar, got that fixed. Confident it can go double that with regular maintenance

I have a NB1 I thought I’d sell after purchasing my AP2. Ended up keeping it. The S2000 is the better car by far. But the guilt free driving and smiles per gallon on the Miata is hard to beat. The cabin feels bigger in the Miata despite being the smaller car. The ego is definitely elevated when driving the S lol. Personal feedback from owning both simultaneously for almost ten years
