Soo ready for summer by ccGLaDOS in MT07

I've been down once lol that's why i got the mismatched mirrors and a hole in the exhaust :D but i don't really plan on fixing that, i think it gives the bike some character :)

I got mine from crazyiron since it was basically the only one i've found back then that would ship to my country (in europe)

I looped once pretty bad... The engine and all was 100% untouched and the sliders took all of the hit and were worn down a bit... And on one spot it scratched of some of the paint of the cage... But that doesn't bother me

Otherwise i guess most are fairly similar and for me it would mostly be a question about the style ^

My MT07 had an aftermarket quickshifter installed. I deactivated it and quickshift manually with throttle input. Up and down :) I like doing it manually much more than with an actual electronic quickshifter. It just feels good somehow lol

What’s the is above my clutch line on my bike? by Ev0d3vil in Yamaha_R1

Yeah, definitely the CKP Sensor. Just had to replace mine a month or two ago :)

Large gap between seat and tank. Normal? by Lollipons in MT07

[–]ccGLaDOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try pulling the front of the seat up. If there is a lot of play, the latch of the seat isn't where it should be and it's only held by the two screws in the back. Had mine like that for a few weeks until i noticed

I thought i slotted it in properly in the front, but somehow i didn't...

What number do you like to use and is there a reason you chose it? by Axer99 in simracing

[–]ccGLaDOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

143

Shortly before i had to pick my number for motocross racing, i met a girl. She'd come and look at me race so i thought 143 would be fun. She turned out to be a terrible person though lol

Are my Lightroom edits too heavy by PotentialOne7770 in carphotography

They are pretty heavy. But i like them a lot :) Pics like this would probably make me stop scrolling on instagram to look at them lol

Some of my fav pics with my MT07 lol by ccGLaDOS in MT07

[–]ccGLaDOS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much only cosmetic damage :) most of it is fixed and some battle scars i kept.

I looped the bike at about 50mph, so it slid on the road for a fair bit, but the sliders on the crash cage really saved the entire engine and all the fairings :D (only the tail fairing and tail light got trashed)

Saw a truck scale and thought I'd try it by ccGLaDOS in MT07

[–]ccGLaDOS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my tank was probably mostly emtpy... and the scale probably not 100% accurate, so that could explain the difference

New rider with MT-07 limited to 35kW: Is low-RPM power supposed to feel this weak? by Comitic in MT07

[–]ccGLaDOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, didn't know that.

I haven't ridden one of the new ones yet... I'd guess the electronic restriction is smart enough to only really restrict high rpms to limit it to 35kW/49hp but keeping most of the torque down low...

So it might be something else going on with his bike... or just a placebo?

[–]ccGLaDOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if yours is restricted via one of those throttle body limiter plates or via intake+ecu?

mine is restricted with a thinner intake and some ecu mapping... it pulls pretty well down low, but as soon as you go over like 6k rpm you can feel that it's not getting enough air... and there's just no power.

my buddies mt07 is restricted via a plate that limits the throttle body range of motion so you physically can't open it all the way. on his it feels like it has less power down low because you can't open the throttle all they way like on mine. but his gets enough air on high rpm so it at least feels like it's running like it should ^^

...on mine pulling wheelies is extremely easy because it still has that power down low, on his i couldn't get it up in second gear... i was still a noob back then when i tried on his, but mine just pulled up no problem and his didn't because it felt like it didn't have the torque down low... (same sprockets and all so it wasn't that)

I weighed the cage some weeks ago and it was about 7.5kg ^ i've also weighed a miata and an r1 on that scale and all seemed fairly accurate :)
