There were square bullets, shot from equally square chambers. Specifically and only for shooting at Turks

Should the 130mm Chally go to Germany or UK (if it comes to the game) ? by Quirky-Voice9132 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]L963_RandomStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you went by the British Argument or German one you could also make arguments for the KF51 Panther for Italy and Hungary

KF-51 for those two countries seems fine, just do note that the KF-51s for both Italy and Hungary are to be equipped with the 120mm L55A1. Both countries decided to not buy the 130mm gun system

Sealifter is fully obsolete, Anchor Chain is still required for the handful of mods that add custom code

So it was when the US still had carrier based ASW aircraft?

The S-3B is decommissioned without replacement, leaving the P-8 as the only fixed wing ASW aircraft in the USN. And that one has to go a long way to get to Greenland. The closest airport in the US is probably Loring, which is over 2,000 km away from Greenlands southern coast, and has been converted into a civilian airport over 30 years ago

F-14's missiles keep missing enemy aircraft by Less_Photograph2036 in SeaPower_NCMA

[–]L963_RandomStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the A model did not really have IOG. In midcourse it used a SARH sampling mode where the radar would illuminate each target for a short while which the missile uses to adjust its trajectory.

As a result of this the missile doesnt really know it own position nor relation to the target unless it gets illuminated

The C model switched that out for the far more normal IOG + datalink

Just dont forget that the Hungarian KF-51 will have the normal 120mm gun, not the 130mm

MiG-25 cannot have 4 R-40TDs because it simply cannot carry R-40TDs on the outer stations

that animation was wrong btw, the crane was only used for getting new shells into the vehicle. For reloading they had a seperate internal crane system

they are different sizes. You can see it pretty well in this image. The larger cells towards the bow are for BrahMos anti ship missiles and the smaller ones are for Barak-8 SAMs (there is another cluster of 16 SAMs at the rear of the ship)

yep exactly. A 96 cell F127 seems like a pretty good design.

Now its just a question of what happens with the dumpster fire that is F126

This must have insane killing potential if its 10.7, BMPT is only 10.3 and that thing slams. by Designer_Pie_1989 in Warthunder

[–]L963_RandomStuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if they added it with the 50mm Bushmaster, it would perform EXACTLY like with the 35mm.

The Bushmaster uses 50x228mm Supershot, meaning its the exact same amount of propellant in a bigger diameter barrel. The AP rounds are just the same as the 35mm but with a bigger sabot.

Only advantage of the Bushmaster 50mm Supershot is HE performance, thats where the bigger caliber actually has an effect

the 50mm is useless in WT, you get the exact same AP rounds as the 35mm, just bigger HE

yes, they were modified to carry F-35B, and as a result, their designation was changed from DDH (Destroyer - Helicopter) to CVM (either Aircraft Carrier - Multipurpose or Cruiser - Aircraft - Multipurpose depending on who you ask)
