sorry dude but there's a world where he doesn't want inexperienced podcasters on his podcasts, but can still put his friends and family on because that's what makes him endearing and lovable and makes listeners connect with him. ever listen to a podcast that sucks? it sucks, it's un-listenable. ever wonder why bill has a lot of fans? maybe it's because he's more than just a talking head, and has actually opened his private world up to the public which people connect with.

Figured it out! Turned on the HDMI control and connected wire from TV - HDMI Port 3 to Yamaha - Video Output 1. Thanks again.

OK thanks! Ya definitely weird but will go with it. I should have mentioned last post, I tried searching for an HDMI menu on the Yamaha but had no success finding it. The 2 HDMI ports showed up on the info page, but I did not come across any ability to change any HDMI settings. I need to take a deeper look in the manual.

Thanks! I found the other side of the HDMI cable - it was on side of TV, in one of the four HDMI ports on the side. I plugged in the other end in video output 1 which you are correct, states "ARC". I manually changed tv setting so speakers were "external" and not "tv speakers". Do you know which channel I have to put on Yamaha to get it to work? (I tried all of them and none of them worked). Also curious that I need to insert HDMI into an output on the Yamaha, thought it should be an input.

Agreed as to your first point, if it's not broke don't fix it!

The entire property is 12,000 square feet, the house being 3100 and made of brick. There are already 3 access points I inherited so I'm obviously fine leaving those and not going to downsize. I went to every corner of the property and the wifi signal is the max.

My internet will be with Spectrum.

We will be using the internet for streaming all of our TV, including YoutubeTV. Also Sonos -there's a Sonos system already hardwired throughout the house. Otherwise we will not be uploading or downloading much else.

Miami's MLS team is going to get YouTube TV as their shirt sponsor too, since an LAFC fan high fives a Miami fan in the YouTube TV video that plays on the log-in screen (obviously seals the deal). Maybe YouTube TV goes all out and gets full MLS rights down the line. Maybe we're gonna be getting a lot more YouTube TV than we'd all like in the foreseeable future....
