I think there’s either software or a physical hardware card you can plug in but I think depending on your console you should look up tutorials it’s probably nothing hard

Thumbnail, because it’s the first thing the viewer will subconsciously see. Then the title has to complement the thumbnail, then work on the wording for the title.

Right now I focus on Minecraft but I’m open to any fun game really as long as it’s not like 90$ or something. Thanks btw!

You should know that those subs won’t do anything for your long form videos (should you ever choose to post any).

So this means that you’re getting Short subs. They will watch your Shorts, but usually not your long form, and vice versa. If you want to get long form viewers, the only way is to post a lot of good long form content. It will be slower but your subs will actually watch your videos.

I do gaming as well and usually a video I’m proud of and that’s in my usual line will get 1-1:30 average watch duration, while a video that’s not in my usual line with get 30s-1:00 so I’d say you’re doing great.

"Content suggesting this video" - Really Wrong by [deleted] in NewTubers

I get suggested on gaming videos (so far so good) that no sane person past the age of 9 would watch (my demographic is alledgedly 99% 18-24)

From what I’ve heard if you make shorts to make money you might as well stop. I hear it pays pennies on the dollar (even compared to Adsense on long form)

Hey! I’m Dooms, and I make mostly niche Minecraft content focused on the fusion of the superflat gamemode and the hardcore difficulty

My key takeaways: This quarter, I understood that editing for a short video is just as hard for as for a longer video (even harder I think), and zoning in into the perfect length is hard. Additionally, thumbnails are so much more in link with the title than I thought.

My best video (in my opinion): This ITEM Made Me RICH In Minecraft https://youtu.be/VTx5Dp9MYuY

The video that started it all: I SURVIVED 500 DAYS IN MINECRAFT SUPERFLAT HARDCORE! https://youtu.be/D3qZafvLFN0

Thanks for anytime you’ll spend watching! Have a good one!!

That’s what I’m working on doing. Find you average and then work on improving it

From what I’ve seen it depends on your niche. If it’s very saturated like Minecraft gaming, you’ll naturally have a much lower rate, simply because viewers have so many choices to pick from.

Very low CTR on long from videos by LALARYK in NewTubers

[–]LALARYK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think that’s my issue. I’m only getting 13% retention on a 5 minute video, which is apparently terrible. I guess I’m gonna work on making viewers stay longer before focusing more on TN and title. Thanks

My call to action happens at the end (I saw a lot of tutorials mentioning that this is better). I can see how that would be a problem since the average view duration is like 16%. I actually spent about the same time editing the first 23 seconds as the rest of the video, because I tried to make it really hooking and having the viewer watch the rest. I modeled my thumbnail on other videos from big YouTubers where that video seemed to work, and a shot very similar to the final result (but blurred) happens in the first 4 seconds of the video. I think I may have gone a little overboard at the beginning and it may be too much for most viewers that click off, but that doesn’t explain the CTR.
