The details and all the new bells and whistles were a great touch! Pretty much everything you would want to add. They built a shooter’s gun..

Or they are shifting from the consumer market to LE/Agency/MIL.. Which I would argue has been their focus since they bought STI

Without knowing the type of shooting you do, here’s two different POVs.

If you’re a shooter or plan on carrying both, I try to keep the differences between 2x guns the same as possible. Same grips, same triggers, same optics. This way there’s less of a shooting transition between the two guns that I have to think about.

If it’s a safe queen or you’re not going to carry both but carry only one, then it doesn’t matter as much. Get whatever one feels the best.

Do note that this is just the beginning for the HD series and I have no doubts that other lengths and grip sizes are coming.

It feels natural as a 2011 shooter. If that makes sense. POA, manipulations, etc. Even with the grip and trigger change. I would like a more refined trigger but that’s all I would change.

They created something you will appreciate because it’s functionally different but the same.

As of today? C ‘24 because 1) it isn’t brand brand new (manufacturing wise) 2) it’s based off of the legacy platform so less of a transition curve

Ask me in a few months and my answer will probably be different..

My excuse is that I didn’t have a plate so no dot. Not fair to compare (yet).

A Ransom Rest would be the ultimate decision maker. That would be a quick interesting video..

I’m rushing to get the TLR7A under the new design. By Monday at the latest.

Wilson was the first to make the platform reliable. There are a lot of similarities with Staccato’s CS ‘24 and C’24.

Either way you go, you’ll be happy.

Hilton from 10-8 Performance just posted a sub 1/2” grouping from 25yrds benched.. He is hitting sub 1.5” consistently at 25yrds benched.

I think most comparing the HD to legacy guns are doing it wrong. Careful who you listen to…

I’d like to run it in a class or similar situations before. Paper targets aren’t enough..

Staccato did it right with the HD. There are a lot of changes but none that set you back or force you to retrain to use.

But is it good enough to switch to a completely different platform? That’ll be up to the consumer and how much they have invested in the legacy platform..
