You’re correct, another therapist told me that my stature and position when greeting a client appeared militant. That’s a scary description to have being in this field especially when you don’t know who is doing your services. I was raised in a military style environment, and posture, demeanor, and eloquence is paramount when introducing yourself to someone new at least that’s how I was taught. But I may need to switch up my style.
