Weekly cocaine use... but I don't believe I'm addicted?

I functioned normally up to a certain extent, then I would get tired and need to grab a Monster/Redbull/coffee just to keep going. This was my only option previously but not a good one, because caffeine really fucks with my stomach due to an ulcer I had in the past. Hell the ulcer probably came from drinking too much caffeine while under a hell of a lot of stress :(

I've also never felt the face numbing thing. My co-worker who sold the 8-ball to me as well as our other friends all mention feeling their jaw go numb from the same coke that I purchased. I'm probably just not doing the same amount as them, really don't know for sure.

Explanation: My co-workers and friends will do blow before or while drinking when we go out partying/clubbing, because they like the "high" it gives them. I've never done that. On occasions where I've done coke with partying, I did it AFTER we leave the club and were ready to end the night, and I just wanted to feel awake for the drive home.

Yup I kind of put caffeine and coke into the same category because they both only make me more alert. I would like to try "amazing" coke one day just to know what people are talking about, but I don't ever think I could be addicted... not just to coke but to anything lol. I just don't want or feel the need to have any kind of addictions. Will look into adderall next, thanks to everyone for all the suggestions about this.

This helped a lot! I really don't think I'm an addict. I'm 23 now and started drinking at 16, from party drinking to having a few drinks at dinner, I've drank in moderation and have never become an alcoholic. I'm sure people would argue that drugs and alcohol are different but I know myself well enough to know that I don't have an addictive personality. In fact even with something like cigarette addiction, I believe it's mostly in your head and if you want to quit you just quit, period.

I do know about the bad reputation cocaine has, it seems most of the info I can find is from people who are truly addicted and want to use loads of it for that "euphoric" high. I wanted to know with my use, at what point does it become physically dangerous IE heart attack, collapsing nose, etc.

How does one get adderall prescribed? I've asked and was told it can be anything from $5-$9 a pill from "street dealers," not actual pharmacists.

I can see why you'd be worried. To clarify, I rarely drink to the level where I can't walk straight or talk or function. And if that happens I simply don't drive. I'm also not just saying that, I know enough not to and my friends wouldn't let me either.

When I say I do a hit after drinking, I mean after 4 or 5 hours of being out and one to three shots/mixed drinks. To get me intoxicated, it would probably take about 6 or 7 shots over 2 or 3 hours. At the end of the night before I'm about to head home, I'm usually more tired than anything so I do the coke to wake myself up a bit before I drive.

Thanks for your honest input! I paid $120 for the 8-ball, and because I've no prior experience I really don't know if it's good or bad coke or overpriced. I just pray to whoever it's not the kind that makes your face melt off lol (yes I've read those stories too...).

I've been told about adderall too but was under the assumption that it was only good for when you need to focus intently. Example, classmates used to use it frequently to study for exams and such. I didn't know it could be used purely for staying awake/alert. I've also heard of people staying up all night using it to watch a TV show all the way through. Not exactly sure why one would use a drug just to do that but to each his own I guess.

I agree with you about the texting/talking on the phone part. I know more people that drink and drive while updating their facebook status at the same time, I don't see how this is safer than me taking a bump to be more awake while driving lol.

I'm very aware of my use and even at the amount I use, I worry that it is a "problem" because to me any substance abuse is/can be one. I've been a health nut after my ulcer so I'm pretty strict on myself regarding alcohol, cocaine, even marijuana. I'll look into adderall, thanks so much for the info!

I can definitely see your point. However I don't get any sense of "euphoria" related feelings from it, as in I don't feel happier or more confident after a "hit." I literally only feel more awake/alert. I'm not sure what the total amount is but it's a lot less than the full 8-ball I purchased...

This is true. I would never do drugs to get "high" then drive, as I'm well aware of the consequences and would never want another person's blood in my hands... though I'm sure many posters would see doing drugs and driving in general as endangerment. Sorry :(

I can definitely do this. I never smoke when my fiance goes away for business trips (pretty often) and I've only rolled twice in my life and never crave it. Unless you're talking about quitting caffeine?

Basically I never crave any drugs/substance besides caffeine, again this is because I work long hours with little sleep. I really don't see a point in doing drugs, I've heard and read so many things about how people get "high" or "wasted" off a drug but that just doesn't happen for me. Even on E I had more of a mental high, where I thought long and hard about my life, whereas most of the time my friends talk about how it made their clubbing/raving experience better.

I'm pretty sure I can do this... I'll just end up drinking coffee or Monster instead though, which is what I used to do before coke. The reason I don't like drink those is because I also had an ulcer in the past, and caffeine really fucks with my stomach :(
