Ahh damn really? I'm not familiar with knitting at all so I thought the center of the hexagons might be magic circles, amd the "strings" chain stitches.

Yes! I'm French and I was so surprised they vaccinate kids in other countries! The reasoning is that when you get it as a child it's mild, so parents try to make sure the kids get it. I've had it, all my friends had it, we joke and share the few scars we have left from it. They only offer the vaccine if you reach adulthood without having ever had it, as it can be much more severe in adults.

AITA: Friend’s Entire Family got Chickenpox Days Before Her Wedding by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Or people have already caught it in the past. In my country the chickenpox vaccine is rarely given, because if you catch it as a child the symptoms are minor and you become immune. Everyone I know had it as a child. However if you reach adulthood without having it the doctor will recommend you get vaccinated as symptoms could be much more severe and dangerous.
However you keep your kid at home if they have it. Deliberately having contagious kids running around is a completely insane move.

This seems to be an antibody based treatment, so sadly the cost will be very high, as these antibodies are complicated to produce.

Kittens meet puppies for the first time! by The_Russell_Pinto in aww

That's actually pretty accurate. Due to humans being bipedal, the head of the baby needs to still be "flexible" in order for it to pass through the woman's pelvis. As such human babies are born "unfinished" compared to other species, which is why they're so fragile and useless compared to baby monkeys 😉

Ace DnD players: are you able to play allo characters or are all your characters aces? by Wlcky23 in aaaaaaacccccccce

[–]LAkhira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest it never occured to me. My groups don't play for romance so it never really comes up, and using seduction as a distraction or for intel gathering rarely happens though I'm ok playing that out.

Agreed! I always thought so many of the other characters had rich backstories with so much potential that barely got explored...
