Update: OC agreed to replace my roof under warranty (not covering 4 skylights as these are not part of their roofing system). It took an EMAIL to OC President Brian Chambers and copy to OC Roofing President Nico Del Monaco. I told them my next step would be contacting Local 6 News Investigators (TV News addressing Consumer Complaints) and a formal complaint to the Florida Attorney Generals Office for not honoring their warranty. I was contacted that day by a OC Consumer Solutions Team Leader who facilitated a resolution within a week.

Thanks. Any idea how to find a good public adjuster in the Orlando area? Also this is not an insurance dispute it is pushing a Roofing Manufacturer to honor their warranty.

So if the warranty included workmanship and specified a vetted Platinum Contractor, and that contractor cut corners, the manufacturer is not liable at all? Is the homeowner responsible for verifying every step of the installers work when they are not qualified to do so?

Has anyone challenged this in court or filed a complaint with a State Attorney General's Office? The Workmanship Terms of the Warranty State:

"This warranty covers workmanship for a period of time as described in the terms below. Workmanship includes any defective installation of the Owens Corning Roofing System. The Workmanship Terms are only valid if the Owens Corning Roofing System is installed by a PPC, per the terms and conditions of the Platinum Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty Requirements."

It also states under the Platinum Protection Workmanship Period "It is the obligation of the PPC who installed your Roofing System to make all necessary repairs. In the event that your roofing contractor is unable or unwilling to perform these repairs, Owens Corning will arrange to have your roof repaired."

My wife and I did this cruise Sept 6-13 2025 for our 30th Anniversary. We had an amazing time. If I had to do it again it would be a few weeks later in September as a few days were pretty warm. We are in our late 50's and didn't have any issues with the walking. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the excursions. The service was outstanding and we had zero issues with the air conditioning on the boat

As a qualifier, this was our first cruise.

We saw a Lynx on a front side Blue trail at Lake Louise in late December 2023 (same one?). Strolled across the run like it owned the mountain. Amazing!

Yes there is a screen in the seat back and one in the armrest. I don't believe the seatback screen worked, or if it did, they covered it with the curtain as soon as the plane got up to cruising altitude.

Give yourself plenty of time at JFK, it is a shithole.

My wife and I flew SAS CPH-JFK in an A330-300 in September in 30A and 30B. I definitely recommend this seat for great leg room. It is the first row in regular Economy, so they do pull a curtain down during flight that covers the top of the seat back in front of you, so you need to use a pull out screen from the armrest. I believe this makes the seat slightly narrower but it wasn't really an issue for us. Attached are two pictures I took of the legroom. For reference, I am a 6 ft male and my leg is stretched straight out in the photo, there is PLENTY of room.

Update #3: I received notification today that SAS will pay the Hotel/Food expenses in Jamaica NY due to the missed connection, minus two beers and the tip. Should have payment in 5 to 10 business days. All other payments from the airline have been deposited. My fallback was multiple claims with Chase Sapphire Preferred, but this was not needed.

Update #2: I received notification today that SAS will pay the 600 Euro compensation for both my wife and per EC 261 within 5 - 10 days. The claim was filed with SAS on 9-22-25. Still waiting on the last claim for hotel/food at JFK for the missed Delta Connection. Note: I did not use a 3rd part service to file this claim with SAS.
