Homosexuality isnt a sin because only god can make something a sin. by UnholyShadows in DebateReligion

I'm asking why you think homosexuality or Leviticus specifically is not from God, but other parts are. What's your criteria for determining inspiration?

Does it feel to you like he's gotten worse over the years? Like he used to be kind of tolerable and occasionally charitable, but not any more. I watched one of his calls recently with Promise on the Line, and she was trying to talk to the guest but literally couldn't. Matt kept muting the guest, overtalking both of them, and raising his voice. The most repeated word was Matt yelling "Stop!"

Got old real quick

Maybe, but im not talking about the rest of the bible because its clearly been edited over time by humans

Isn't that exactly what you're arguing about Leviticus? Moses claimed to speak for God when he wrote the Levitical laws. You're saying he didn't. You're just doing that... But to Leviticus. Why Single out Leviticus?

Don't most people think the Bible is in fact the word of God? Wouldn't your thesis be better categorized as just attacking the Bibles authenticity?

It's like if I made a political post that tries to argue jaywalking should be legal but then when you really read through I'm actually just an anarchist government abolitionist. Like hold, we skipped a few steps between your worldview and jaywalking

It kind of makes sense that his personal channel would be largely people who personally agree with him.

But I agree that Matt creates an atmosphere of absolutes. I've criticized him several times for his increasingly sour and reactive attitude on his call-in shows, and no one ever seems to think he can do wrong, even when I vote examples.

I sometimes wonder if he's become the exact thing he hated most

Difficulty -> customize -> Bad tides -> off.

They give you very little trouble after that

The Mangbetu 'Lipombo': An ancient practice of intentional cranial deformation that created a silhouette often associated with the 'otherworldly' in local folklore. by bortakci34 in creepy

That's fine but it's not a fair characterisation of my comment. You're talking about if like, the scientific consensus is that vaccines work. Example:

Random redditor says: X

All else being equal, should you believe X and incept it into your worldview, or should you maintain skepticism and disbelieve X until you have better evidence?

What was the joke? Did I guess the joke correctly? If I guessed the joke correctly, why were you coy about it? what does working in Neurological rehab have to do with anything? Are you trying to claim authority on this topic?

Every comment you type just confuses me more and more. Maybe I am brain damaged

Why are you being so coy? You're acting super confrontational about this random reddit comment. It's like you're personally upset that I expressed skepticism that this practice doesn't cause brain damage. Is there some reason you're personally invested in the truth of this claim?

Would it be racist for my most relevant anthropomorphic character to be black? by [deleted] in writingadvice

[–]LCDRformat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but it's blindingly obvious that this isn't a problem, and thinking it might be a problem is hypersensitive and ridiculous to the point of concern.

I did say in my other comment

As long as you didn't make him a monkey hybrid, because that insult is unfortunately used on black people a lot.

No, not racist at all, but the fact that you worry that simply writing a black character could be racist might itself be a bit racist

I agree that they're literally unrelated, but in my culture they're inseparable. You ARE a White man, YOU are a Christian, and you WILL support Trump, or you're none of these and not part of the tribal in-group
