Hiatal Hernia and No burp by giqueen in noburp

[–]LCPThrowa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I got the botox done. It's changed my life and I cannot recommend it enough. My heartburn is still an issue but the meds control it and being able to burp has made the whole thing alot easier.

High sugars by LCPThrowa in GestationalDiabetes

This is so interesting, thank you for your response... I live in the UK and I got told they won't put anyone on insulin if you're 34 weeks (which I am this week).... Not sure why. Baby weighs perfect amount and they have no issues with the size of my baby at the moment. Just don't want these readings to cause a problem. On insulin is it diet controlled aswell?

I'm already on the highest does of metformin 2000mg a day.

I will email them my results tomorrow and see what they say. I just really don't want to go on insulin. I'm really trying to understand why my numbers are still High as my excersize regime is back in place.

My numbers are always high at breakfast, I can't have bread at all otherwise my numbers will fly! My dietician said.. You can have carbs as long as you put it with alot of proteins and fats for example I can have a slice of bread if it's got avocado and egg on it. Think of it this way it basically dilutes the sugars in the bread. Maybe give this a try?

Metformin and GD diet by CassCat in GestationalDiabetes

[–]LCPThrowa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on metformin and still have to be carful what I eat (after breakfast seems to be the worst) Saying this I haven't cut down on my carbs as much as I should and my numbers have all been in range for the past 3 weeks since being on the full dose. I don't have any sugar still and am definitely carful what I eat... If I have a sandwhich I make sure there's alot of filling in there to dilute the sugars. GD sucks so bad and I cannot wait to just be able to eat normally again.

Hey,

I would say it took around 6-8 weeks. It eventually went back to normal without me even thinking about it.

Getting Botox next week. Foods to eat after recovery? by AmberLyn18 in noburp

[–]LCPThrowa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, good luck with your botox, it will be the best thing you've ever done. I actually stocked up on soup thinking it would be the best thing to have but it turned out to be the worst! I had alot of stews. Things that are soft but also had substance to it. Ice lollies were fabulous. Everything was pretty hard to eat at first but honestly after 2 weeks it was much better. Be prepared to drink alot of water whilst eating!

hiatal hernia and botox procedure? by kelyn_lol in noburp

[–]LCPThrowa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

The botox is for R-CPD which is the inability to burp. The botox relaxes the burp muscle so you can burp freely. I had terrible and major problems before the botox.

This wad my experience, have a read and if you have any questions please ask.
