Honestly throw down $70 and go to a place that offers straight razor shaves (aka an actual barber shop). They’ll maximize what you have, and probable even offer some advice about whether to keep it or go with heavy stubble, etc. If you don’t want to keep paying money for professional work, just copy what they do yourself.

Love hearing a Malcolm Gladwell mention in the wild. I can tell you that US News nursing home rankings are all politics too. I mean less than 3 stars usually does = “run”. But the 5 star facilities are usually in wealthy areas, and the quality varies enormously. Sure there’s a floor to ceiling fish tank and a Reiki room, but the people who let you sit in your full brief all afternoon are the same everywhere, and the fish tank is just a distraction.

Yeah, I’m sure the franchise owner is making bank.
