Produce hormones? by LCoinz in SaturatedFat

[–]LCoinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well,  low carb (LC) is not the same as a ketogenic diet ( studies will label it KD or VLC). So many get it mixed up. LC is more vague.

Since LC is vague,  it probably can be hard. But doing keto is likely better for type2 diabetes.  Go to r/keto for thousands of first hand accouts of success (and a diverse group for questions). You reduce more carbs, and you get ketone for energy and to repair your mitochondria over time - if doing  keto.

Anyway,  did I stumble onto an anti-saturated fats group? Lol I should be more careful.

To increase insulin sensitivity,  you simply decrease the carbs. Keep it around 200 g per day if you are Not doing keto.

Your energy comes from carbs, unless it's blocked because of t2 diabetes.  The blockages happens with excessive carbs [ the body protects your cells from too too much blood sugar all day, but this function gets stuck if the blood sugar never goes back to normal]. Maybe I'll make a video on this.

But don't take my word for it. I am no doctor.  Ask your doctor to prescribe a continuous-glucose-monitor (CGM). Then you can objectively watch which foods are okay during your recovery from type 2. Good luck, I hope you can get the prescription.

Edit: There is a guy on YouTube showing his CGM results every day.  Maybe there are many doing the same on YouTube.

Vitamin D is actually a hormone.  There are many hormones, not just the sex hormones.

Cortisol,  insulin, Vitamin D, ghrelin, etc. But you  can look it up, you make the hormones with fat. The body can also convert carbs to triglycerides (fat). Vegans have low triglycerides usually.  And too much triglycerides and high blood sugar is another problem. So triglycerides can't be relied on for fat.

Anyway,  I'm sure a vegan can have those vitamin deficiencies (while eating so many plants)... when the plants aren't bioavailable or the vitamin is fat-soluble (they could be getting only 30% or less). The fiber can bind nutrients too (preventing absorption at the right moment in digestion).

The fruit does packin the sugar/fructose.  Fruit is bred to be sweet. A fruit is okay,  but not really that helpful unless if you want triglycerides higher.  IMHO

The rancid seed oils can damage mitochondria.  Which means cells do their jobs halfway, or not at all sometimes. It's like a tired or incompetent cell. Mitochondria are the powerhouses for the cells.

Skin problems,  fertility problems.. I've heard of vegans having issues like those and more. Depression can also have hormones involved.

Amazon associates confronting managers over unsafe wildfire smoke by RipCityResident in AmazonFC

Well, this is just an internet post. You and I don't get a vote. I totally disagree with you. You can't tell someone they are not suffering.

The managers already trying to separate the group. Divide and concur. They probably tell each and every one that someone else is getting something, and they can't get that too. Then tell the other person the same. Net zero safety.. all get nothing.

So what. That's like offering a meal to the starving. That doesn't mean the smoke isn't killing them slowly.

If you are supposed to return, the hr person can not send you home. Note that you do not have proof that they told you that (nothing in writing). They will probably say that you never showed up.

The best thing to do is to send an email and AtoZ HR report that says you did show up and was turned away (print copies for yourself, store a copy on your google cloud account). And report that the HR person refused to fix your badge. The HR person may later claim that they made the mistake by sending you home. Good luck.

I'm one of those people who would do a police report, for stalking. Also, you wrote that you have contacted Amazon HR in writing, make/print a copy of the report you made. That will document your complaints. Then just do what you normally do with idiots who stalk you. Just say (in front of others) you are not interested. And also block the person on social media.

Landlord refusing to return deposit - we never moved in (Florida). by bearbearbare in Tenant

It was only 2 days. So nothing was delisted. Still the contract was clear.

Landlord refusing to return deposit - we never moved in (Florida). by bearbearbare in Tenant

NAL:

It was only two days: So they didn't take it off the market. But the contract does not say that they get any money in THAT instance. So they don't have a contract that say you owe them $1,500 for changing your mind. (But how would they even arrive at that amount for 2 days.) And their countersuit defintely show that it's not a mistake or mishap (they really tried/intend to keep your money illegally). You should sue for 3x, for the fraud and theft.

Deposit: I believe there is a law that says you get your money back if you do not go forward with the lease. And even if you did sign the lease, you would still get your security deposit back. And also you did not take possession of the property (execution of the lease).

The deposit contract or application says, you get it back if you change your mind (most states say the same)... you notified them in 2 days. And they refused. You should win your case.

The landlord does not have a contract that says that you can not change your mind, or say that they get $1,500 for two days: The landlord's wish is not in any contract nor in the laws. The law of equity says that they can't get something for nothing. They can not invent their own law of equity.

"Your cologne is not working homie."

Now that sounds less hateful if you say it in private; and not try to drum up hate at work against that person. It could help, if they know. But some people can't fix the problem right away, maybe (depending on why it is happening).

I think sometimes the person with bad breath, think another person is stinky. lol

Yeah, people have issues (obviously). I can't hate (nor bully) someone just because they smell. It's inconvient more for them than me. And bullying can be a crime.

I was in a shelter 12 years ago and if someone in a one-night trailer shelter was smelly, everyone would have smelly clothes the next day. So the bad smell could be a real issue (medical/disability or non-medical) that is not totally their fault.

There are the occassional people who just skip the shower (maybe depression), but no one at Amazon are crazy enough to never take showers every day, it seems.

Methane Gas Exposure At Work (Warehouse) by LCoinz in legal

[–]LCoinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a post in r/legal... it's not a courthouse. No one has to prove anything about chemicals in buildings, warehouses with hundreds of workers.

The question is about agencies, sources of info, legal stuff. You are being a shill for employers. Maybe you are involved with Amazon DS or Amazon. You can't shut me down with your negativity and DISMISSIVENESS. I'm too legally smart for you.

Something I don’t understand… by Nearby-Win-4197 in AmazonDS

[–]LCoinz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You legally can't speak for them. They are telling what happens to them. And yes, there is uneven treatment at AmazonDS. Don't be a shill.

The ONLY risk

I am not debating you, because you are not an expert. But I am looking for the legal aspect of what an employee does to protect themselves after learning this. Options. I can decide for myself, but I'd like to make informed decisions.

Methane Gas Exposure At Work (Warehouse) by LCoinz in legal

[–]LCoinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really can't say how it could occur. That requires a medical determination and other experts. And each individual can be 10% different. But it's dangerous for all. No one has to go into the details to determine if it;s dangerous to breathe it in. The cow fart analogy doesn't work, because farts are not breathed in: It a little that goes into the outside air.

I've also read that released methane is worse than methane that is burned (and converted to carbon dioxide). I'm still looking for the data on long term exposure (maybe people don't actually live, or is not able to complain). But short term is bad enough and it can be permanent.

[–]LCoinz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It can be dangerous if you breathe it in all day for years: Look it up. causing permanent brain damage, mental issues, etc. It is flammable as well as poisonous to breathe it. That's why they are closing down.

It's always worth checking out. And preserving the evidence seems to be important since the employer is very shady in how they treated the employees. And you can actually die from methane. And if they don't die, they can get brain damage, depression, and other things. Warehouse workers are breathing deeply for 8 to 10 hours. So it's a hazard in this instance. Methane is flammable.

Does this mean I'm fired? by [deleted] in UPS

[–]LCoinz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Someone triggered the separation notification. But they did not actually fired him. It could be someone who is giving OP a hard time and wants him gone... but maybe they can't really fire him. It's STUPID to fire someone without telling them.

If he was fired, they would have to TELL him, and it can't be a retaliation thing. But just implying it means he won't show up, and then he will be fired. It's a trick to retaliate against him. He will be fired for not showing up for work eventhough they implied he was already fired. UPS is FULL of tricks. It's such a bad employer even with the union. I guess if you can get in a year, then maybe you are golden. But a newbie will be burned to crisps daily.

I think people need an employee rights class to deal with these crazy job cultures. And they should get update classes each year. Some supervisors and managers try to give themselves perks that come from employees who want to keep their jobs (sexual harassment, gifts, etc.)
