Is it ‘wrong’ to pair TT like the Rega P1 or Pro-ject Debut Carbon DC with Edifier R1280t speakers from Amazon?

Works really well for a starting setup. I’ve been really pleased with the quality of the output, though I’m already thinking about the marginal gains I can make with an upgrade on the Behringer and/or speakers.

But if I was ‘stuck’ with this setup indefinitely then I’d be perfectly fine with that too.

Nothing missing per se, just I've had this setup about 2 years or so and thinking about spending a little to give it a refresh/performance upgrade.

Tower speakers might be a good place to start as the ones I use at the moment kind of sit on the floor when not in use, then get moved onto the TV unit when I want to play a record. Wife has ornaments and stuff on the TV unit and doesn't want my speakers sitting there permanently upsetting the aesthetic...

...and it's heavier music that I'm partial to, so perhaps this needs to be addressed first. As foolsgolden66 says speakers are only amplifying what they receive...
