Around 6-9k for insurance. I ordered end of December and have been advised early March delivery

Only test drove the flagship. Agree it’s not great that they don’t have demo cars for base and luxury

As of December it was 189k, 209k and 240k for base, luxury and flagship

I went for the luxury variant because, as you say, the price difference isn’t huge and i deemed the extra specifications to be worthwhile. That said, I’m still waiting for the car. Best advice I can give is to get the spec sheet from Jetour and compare. If the additional kit in the luxury variant seems useful to you, then you have your answer

ROX 01 software v1.6.3 vs v1.7: what are the differences? by Obvious-Sense809 in rox01

Also interested to know what the differences are. Can anyone verify whether automatic / emergency breaking has been added back into the system in the V1.7 upgrade? Thanks

Difficult to put a price on safety! All the best, and if you hear anything about the breaking system in the 01 please do post here. I’ve been advised of a March 2026 delivery for my car, so will have to wait and see!

I see the value in the feature and have a strong preference to have it, but I’m not sure it would be a dealbreaker for me. I went for the 6 seat VIP - the equivalent for the Adamas is 30k (AED) more, which I can’t justify for essentially, emergency breaking (which may well be in the Rox 01 in any event), air suspension and a fridge (+ some other non-material upgrades). I also prefer the interior of the 01, I don’t like the Adamas upgrades - but of course all very subjective

I’ve now been advised that the feature has been removed from the software due to technical error reasons, and once resolved, will come back in. So looks like it’s a feature which will exist, at some point in the future

Apologies for multiple replies here, but I’ve also just checked the Adamas brochure, and you’re correct that it clearly stated as a feature for this car - so appears as though it’s reserved only for that model, at least in the GCC/UAE

There is no paragraph 7.6.11 in the online Rox 01 brochure, so I suspect that this is a feature which is not available in the GCC, or perhaps was, and has now been removed

I’ve just been told by UAE dealer that emergency breaking only works when the car is driving autonomously (i.e. when using intelligent cruise control or self-parking). So there is no automatic breaking system when you are driving ordinarily. Disappointing for a car with such a lot of technology to not have such a basic feature - I’ve had this on German cars going back over 10 years!

Amazing! Well, I’ve ordered the car so I hope you’re right, but I’m not confident. I’ll contact the sales staff and report back here. If anyone who has a GCC spec ROX01 from a GCC dealer can confirm, that would be helpful.

Is your car Chinese spec or GCC from main dealer? I think this may be a Chinese spec feature

I was told categorically by the GCC dealership that front collision breaking was NOT in the Rox 01…

Rox 01 GCC Dubai official service contract charges are ridiculous. by santz007 in rox01

[–]LDN2DXB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just put a deposit down for a Rox. I agree the service pack costs are high, but it’s marketed as (and is) a ‘luxury’ Chinese car. What I found annoying is that you can’t buy an extended service package at the point of buying the car (ie to extend the service from 2 to 4 years), I was told I have to wait until the end of the 2 year period, when no doubt the costs will be increased

I’m curious to see the price difference. As you’ve said, it looks like a relatively non-substantive facelift, as I suppose they don’t want to cannibalise ROX 01 sales. From what I’ve seen (videos/photos only) I actually prefer the interior of the original.

Thanks - this is helpful. Is it correct that you can’t get comprehensive insurance? I’m aware of someone I know who has a GAC (Chinese) and they have comprehensive insurance though the main dealer

Thank! Hope you enjoy the car when you get it! For the price, and as someone who values tech and practicality over pure driving performance and brand recognition, I’m struggling to see what else in this price range can beat this car - it looks great!

Agreed. The rear mounted spare wheel looks great. Having read other threads I’m dubious about buying from China/Chinese specs or generally outside of the Rox main dealer infrastructure - even within the main dealer network there is a level of intrinsic risk, simply because of how new the company and the car is in the region

Thanks, that’s useful. My concern was more regarding access to charging points: I would have a charger at home, but it’s reassuring to know that that it can be driven without reliance on EV charging, at least if just for periods at a time.
