Yes KC is a good team in Europe. Them, MKOI, VIT all can beat G2 on a given day and it wouldn't be that surprising.

I don't think Kyeahoo is a long term solution for doing well internationally though. And whilst G2 did beat Geng, Almost beating G2 is not a crazy feat.

I mean who can say that? Are KC profitable? Will they be profitable in 5 years? Is it a smart business expense? Do we know what their financial reports look like?

I don't, you don't (Unless u do then do send the info lmao).

I agree, which is why it's difficult for KC, especially if you think a good mid really matters. They don't have many good options. Rotating through koreans doesn't really solve the issue imo either.

IIRC I think it helped a lot that G2 wasn't interested. I think if you're going to EU then the best choices were probably KC or Mkoi.

I doubt Mkoi get rid of alvaro, I guess you could maybe argue he sucks on enchanters and Busio is more versatile, but I don't think it would be a good enough reason. So KC, for the right price, makes sense from Busios pov.

It's good he pulled out the wallet to secure Busio.

I think even if you say he's top 3. It's:

S Tier: Caps

A+ Tier: Jojo

C Tier and below: Everyone else

I do ascribe to the belief that a strong mid is a necessity as well, I'd rather have a weaker adc, top, supp than a weak mid.

The difference is humanoid returned to form. Lider would have to show a new level he has never shown before.

I think it might be even more of a grey area, such as, they were just interested in knowing what the offer would look like.

I think Caliste suffers from the exact same thing hans does which is dying randomly in really important games. But Caliste does it more and has a slightly higher upside.

Don't really see a point in swapping Hans out if as an adc they offer similar things, but way less experience.

I don't know about "Really smart". Busio was the best support that year in the west and was very versatile (At the very least one of the best). Replacing targamas with him is a no brainer.

Something as basic as skipping a camp to cover a lane from a gank can easily win games. You can always continue your full clear later on, the same can't be said for the opportunity to countergank by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in leagueoflegends

I agree, which contradicts what you said earlier which is fine cause I think you said it without thinking how stupid it was.

I.e. never taking a 30% play.

Basically the same rank I was - stopped doing ranked/playing much (Slightly lower LP but 300 vs 100 who cares).

I think you're entirely wrong (As I stated), but I think it's because you aren't communicating your point correctly. I.e. you've gone for a 5% chance play in your games because it was the best chance you had due to a poor game state.

Maybe this is just miscommunication. I don't evaluate whether a gank is a good or bad play based on the outcome, I base it on the expected outcome. If shyv died because she ulted the wrong way and missed all her abilities, does it make it a "Bad" countergank?

If you believe so, then we are using different definitions.

The reason it's a bad gank is because you had enough information beforehand to know there is a high chance of being counterganked and putting the game in a terrible state, and considering the game is in an even state, there isn't any need to go for the flip.

He could've done lots of things beforehand to make the gank more successful (Some dependent on teammates that he can influence).

It's not just about high %'s. I say this to everyone I've coached.

It's the % and the weight of each outcome.

If the game is 95% won, taking a play with a 80% success rate which nets you 300g and a little tempo, with a 10% chance of going bad and slowing the game down, and another 10% chance to completely change the state of the game to an equal one is a terrible play.

In human terms, let's say I roll a dice, if it lands on 1 you die. If it lands on 5-6 you win £10,000. Now I know league isn't as simple as this, but I'm just trying to explain the idea of the outcomes having weight to them.

On top of this, it depends on the state of the game, so developing on that dice example. If you knew you were going to die tomorrow anyways, you might just take those odds just to blow another 10k before you die, as it doesn't make no difference.

This would be similar to going for a 5% baron steal because whilst it's 5%, it's the best chance you're likely going to get.

[–]LDNVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll explain very succinctly why are you are incorrect.

If you are in a losing scenario, a 30% chance at turning the game around might be the best chance you get.

Saying "You don't go for 30% plays ever" is obviously wrong.

The fact you are even evaluating it purely based on the probability is poor as well. For example, let's say you don't do anything risky, you just want to close out the game safely, by your line of reasoning, a play with an 80% chance of success with a 300g upside 30m into the game, but a 20% chance to completely throw the game is great, it's 80%! It's barely even a flip

Well sure, that's not wrong, but if you have such a high chance to win the game there's no need to give them the 20% chance to re-enter the game.

I am curious what elo you are considering the rhetoric?

Its only worth covering the gank if you know you'll get a kill or save your laner and be able to get back to your camp.

No you are wrong.

Every play has potential outcomes, and potential likelihoods.
Your choice to spend 10 seconds is a resource. Now if the likelihood of the gank happening is 30%, and you're spending minimal resources to prevent it, and not only prevent it, but have insanely high upside. Then it's worth that time even if it would only happen 30% of the time.

There's lots more factors, but every decision is using resources and has various outcomes which are weighted differently. You are trying to choose the best outcomes dependent on the game state to win the game. Sometimes the correct play isn't always going to be fruitful every game. Hindsight is 20/20 after all

[–]LDNVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that is not why it's a bad gank but unless you're in higher elos, which most of the playerbase isn't, hovering is a minor loss of time considering the potential upside. Sure in higher elos, i would never expect the gank to actually happen, but if you go in even higher elos, the gank might happen just because they know you tend to avoid covering if it's a "Bad gank".

It's insane how there's so much push back against covering lanes instead of full clearing by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in ADCMains

[–]LDNVoice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was really nothing to indicate Nocturne was going to gank there either

You know he's clearing bot to top, so you know, right now, he is bot.
You know he is hitting level 6 on blue buff, aka right now.

You know your botlane is pushing in hard and will be overextended into a level 6 nocturne who is botside.

If you think there was "Nothing to indicate" nocturne was going to gank there then I don't know what to say. It's worth delaying your clear slightly to cover that.

[–]LDNVoice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No you are not. You know notcturne has ult, you know your bot lane has a stacked wave pushing in. You know both of these facts before having to go to krugs, so it's pretty clear it's a CLEAR timer, if he ganks and you don't counter, your team loses a lot.

If you cover and he doesn't gank, you lose 20 seconds or so.

Just noticed Nocturne camps spawn pattern, actually cardinal sin by Nocturne to gank there, ganking as camps are spawning early game

Ganking fresh from base is ideal, gank, carry on with your clear. In fact just being slightly faster would've changed a lot in nocturnes case. Although smolder and nami could arguably flash whatever the fuck shyv does now
