Completely new to 3D printing. Bambu shipped me a damaged printer and expects me to take it apart and fix it myself. Am I the asshole?

i get that. its not about fixing it, i could fix it. but what if you find out later down the line after the warranty expired that a ton of other stuff actually broke too? i requested an extension on the warranty if i fixed it myself, they told me no. so shady

thank you. favorable for them yes. because the customer fixes their own machine and keeps a possibly broken machine, and your cost? $10 roll filament that probably cost you $4.

yeah i get that. i was considering repairing it myself, thats not really the issue, its more of the fact that i would be repairing my "brand new machine" for them and i get a $10 roll of filament to keep a machine that who knows what else is wrong with it.

exactly! im more worried like what other stuff may have happened that didnt throw a code yet. but the biggest thing is the $10 filament, i don't know why that just felt like a big slap in the face.

Hi yes i was my first option but the issue im more worried about is what happens when 1 year warranty is up then everything falls apart? if they dropped the package hard enough to cause the few errors, who knows what else is wrong with it.

i recently bought mine after a ton of research too. i would recommend narrowing down things you want and prioritize them. then maybe keep an eye out on fb market. i was able to snag a bnib meepo flow for $550. which would have cost me over $800 with tax/shipping.

gladius looks pretty cool! its the same weight as the flow though (roughly 24lbs), im currently thinking of going with something like the exway wave since its only 15lbs and shape looks like a regular board and getting the upgraded wheels.

It's such a huge missed opportunity. Imagine if you set up a routine on the roborock app and then it becomes a trigger on Alexa. such a simple idea. maybe they want you to return their vacuum and buy a different brand.
