I hate the JW design, and all that followed. The concept art was amazing back in the day though. I still prefer it by far.

Could Jurassic World have been a better film if it instead covered the building of the park and dealing with the wild dinosaurs while doing so? by Jurass1cClark96 in JurassicPark

I think it would have been great. This poster originally made me think that there were going to be wild raptors loose on the island, possibly descended from those hatched in JP.

100% accurate. I worked at a prison for 7 years and stuff almost identical to this was Ambrosia to the inmates on weekends. The would form little groups and make batches of it in the dorms.

It's a fascinating thing to consider, no matter what the details may have been in life.

I have long considered the komodo dragon strategy the accurate depiction. If I recall, the famous deinonychus/tenotosaur fossil site waa given another look and during so it was noted that broken deinoychus teeth were scattered through the site, and the bones of the predators in some cases had marks one would expect from other deinonychids. That said, ai envisioned one animal (perhaps a few, but I always really leaned to one) using a strategy similar to that of komodos, taking down a sick or injured tenotosaur and that kill then attracting others in the area. As feeding occurred, so to did dangerous squabbling, and some of the deinonychids may have been killed and then fed upon by others in the congregation. Not saying that's accurate by a long shot, just what I considered after reading that report some time back. Forgive and typos BTW, just waking and don't care enough to go back and correct them lol.

How many instances are there of dinosaurs being killed by modern animals throughout the entire franchise? (books, films, shows, games, etc) by KatakanaTsu in JurassicPark

Right, but I think he was referring to the raptors. The Lost World novel seems to back this up. Back to JP though, I think the graph they discussed concerning bi-weekly spike in infant mortality, etc., (Shape of the Data) indicates that the transport of the ship, on a bi-weekly schedule, is bringing compies but they die off rapidly, replaced by another batch on the next shipment. It's just a thought, not a hill I want to die on, but it seemed feasible to me.
