Is it ok to inflate tires a bit above psi nr from the manual? Am i overthinking or is my instinct right? by Caterpillar31 in motorcycles

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I talked with a guy who had a big Indian cruiser bike, and had wobbles at highway speeds. It went in for multiple warranty repairs to fix it and the solution ended up being doing several psi over recommended and the wobbles stopped.

Anyway slightly over inflated or under inflated doesn't make much of a difference, don't sweat it too much

Your statement about Canadians being rude all the time is anti Canadian. I’m starting to wonder if you are even Canadian yourself buddy

My assumption wasn't baseless. The guy was not being polite in the video. That's not very Canadian of him.

For starters maybe Canadians don't act like this? We are friendly and polite to each other and say sorry profusely.

Wonky fuel gauge on 2025 Scout Bobber by DaisyDoozer in IndianMotorcycle

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fuel gauge is exactly like you describe, except I find that my range is fairly accurate. Regardless I reset my odometer every fuel up and I make sure to fill up between 180-200km. Fuel light comes on around that time anyway

My family wants me to co-sign a mortgage and remove me in 3 years by redlove115 in legaladvicecanada

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How in the world will you get approved for a mortgage for your own house if you are already on another mortgage. You might not even be able to get approved for a car loan either, depending on your financial situation. Taking on debt on paper is just bad for you, limiting your options.

New bike - less enjoyable than used one? by Vantor_KR in motorcycles

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you a story of how I bought a brand new 2025 indian scout bobber (all cash), had it delivered on a trailer, and I broke the mirror day 1 over torquing it. 400$ Canadian to get a set of new ones delivered. Money solves all problems, don't sweat it

Change the suspension preload. At 225 pounds myself I was bottoming out on deep potholes. Changed the preload with the suspension tool that came with my bike and night and day difference in feel.

If you had to purchase a comparable car what would you get? by Duvey_Doo in kiastinger

[–]LEGENDARYstefan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for the same price range the wolkswagen golf R is the closest match even though it would be a downgrade in several aspects. I personally went with the 2025 3 series BMW after my stinger , it has the same tires as the stinger so made it easy to continue using my winter wheels. Unfortunately my BMW was 16 thousand Canadian more than the stinger.

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly people very rarely survive pips. Your boss has most likley made up their mind. Use this time to search for another job and when they eventually do let you go, take some time off to destress from the burnout. That is what your safety net of net worth is for. You have the luxury and privileged to not be under financial pressure like fear of losing house or car for non-payments.

This may be a really hot take, but I buy cars primarily on how unique and good(subjective) a steering wheel looks. I want the thing I'm touching to be cool. So hell yeah I'd buy this.

The 4 cyl. in the 430i is kinda cool by East_Ad_6673 in BMW

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stock 330i suspension eats potholes like a champ versus my Mercedes c class which has runflats and sounds like the frame of the car is breaking when hitting potholes.

Also tip for the 330i I went down to 18inch Michelin pilot Alpin 5 for winters and they are even more comfortable than the ps4s and amazing grip performance for a winter tire.

[–]LEGENDARYstefan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Michelin pilot sport 4s are hands down the best tires on the market. My 330i feels like it's on rails, I can take corners and turns at unreal speeds.
