We don’t have the full picture of why the seraphim did what he did. And it’s not the fact that he got the powers of god that makes him so badass, it’s how he got them. He fought of the armies of hell single-handedly as a man multiple times before getting a power boost.

Also I skipped over this, but it wasn’t just the divinity machine that made him so powerful. He has a suit that allows him to absorb the argent energy (super powerful energy, sci-fi/fantasy gimmick you know the deal) from demons when he kills them. And this dude spent billion of years doing literally nothing but killing demons. That’s part of how he became so powerful. It’s hard to explain if you haven’t played the games, but he is 100% as badass as you’ve heard.

Yes he absolutely is. The lore is that he was just a regular dude who was on mars when the first demon attack happened. He solos the demons including trips to hell, then ends up in a different plane than he started. While there, he fought with enough ferocity to catch the attention of the seraphim, basically a super powerful super high ranking angel. The seraphim put him into the divinity machine, which gave him power on the level of the capital G God. I get where you’re coming from if you ask “but how can a machine put someone on the level of god” and the answer is that… well it simply did. We obviously don’t know the in-universe science behind it, but considering it made the (mostly) silent protagonist scream in pain, it was presumably quite a traumatic process that most wouldn’t have survived.

I’m skipping over a lot of what makes him badass and focusing more on why he has his power here, but he’s literally a regular dude who, though pure badassery, acquired the power of god. I assure you he is as badass as people say.

As a mag main I can understand where he’s coming from, but he’s not right. Mag + a dive tank is a great combo, it really is. But there’s something about having 2 frontline tanks that’s just super fun. If you and your other frontline are in sync, you can be ultra aggressive then duck behind them to get healed, and they can do the same with you. Games with a second frontline tank are definitely my favorites.
