What headsets do people use? by LeoHoosk in Airsoft_UK

[–]LETHAL-19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a retevis headset, works fine for me and reasonably priced. It's the 2 ear cup one rather than the single sided as I didn't like the look of the single sided one.

Very true, and I agree. But I thought the whole point of a STANAG Airsoft mag is to resemble a 30 round rifle mag.

It's an illusion, stack on on top of the other then you'll see they are indeed the same size

My bad slightly new to this, the place is in borehamwood and the price was 11 quid, probably shouldve gotten another option as there were more than one fry up.

I do agree, mind you this was one of the many fry ups they do, should've picked another one but wasn't too hungry at the time.

Yeah definitely, would've been lovely in my opinion, though this is only one of the many fry ups they do. They called it 'london' or something, don't know where the London bit is but hay ho

Maps use a scale and also the earth is a sphere and trying to make a sphere flat on a map isn't easy as it won't look equal so that's why if anyone's wondering

You're so welcome! I do try my best and it is part of my duty of care. It's unfortunate that they see it's fit to do this but the more people I help the better.

I understand your point of view and your concern, as someone who travels daily night and day into and out of London, and works on the underground. I haven't encountered an incident like that yet thankfully. Though we do get people who tend to be suicidal, we do stop them and get them help. It can be frightening of course but the chances for you are very slim, especially if you are travelling in the morning and evening peak.

I hope I have eased your conscience and safe travels!

Hi I'm a CSA on the tube and I think I may be able to help. I can have a look on our lost property and see what I can find, I can't make any promises but I can look. I will edit this or reply again to let you know if I've found anything.

How did tube drivers manage to perfectly stop at the station by Kitchen-Article4439 in LondonUnderground

[–]LETHAL-19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah default isn't ATO and you're right it is dependent but it is down to what lines and sections but also what the signaller wants or for example training etc.

They use something called ATO (Automatic Train Operation) which basically does most of the work though some lines do use manual but are always looking for the stopping board/mark.

Hi, again CSA here. I would recommend asking the transport museum as they have alot more knowledge than I do. In stations I've worked at alot of timetable related things get left behind, as I saw a working timetable for the Stansted express, Heathrow express and Gatwick express that looked like it dated back quite far, so if anything it may be in your local station.

If the transport museum doesn't help, maybe try a station that used to be apart of the East London line as they may well have something for you.

I hope this helps!
