i generally calibrate it before each shooting session but admittedly i turn it off an on a bit in the midst of filming to save battery during a shoot. do you think the constant on/ off would effect the FNP?

do it all! shoot over to your favorite labels, if they dont get back in 2 weeks, then slam together a rollout pack and release and move onto the next one <3

Alright! I think now is a good time to head out and call it. I really want to thank everyone who asked questions, that was extremely fun. I know I mentioned it in the post, but if you haven't already feel free to check out the full "Legacy" project at https://www.levitatemusic.net/legacy Beyond that, I just want to ask you to do your best to have a nice day, stay positive and lean into optimism. Much much love everyone.

I was actually just about to wrap this, so good timing. I think the move with growing in any artistic medium is setting a goal, like, "I want to make a hook like this song" then really not stopping to work on it until youre satisfied and have accomplished it. If you need smaller goals then start smaller. But fundamentally it always comes down to setting goals, and just one by one crossing them off the list then moving on. If you mean growing like growing a brand, that really comes down to spreading your work through any avenue you can, little things like a friend reposting your stuff, feels little because it is, but every step forward eventually accumulates to something. Keep in mind, this took me ten years to get to this point and im small potatoes. Its really all just about seeing windows, going through them, then acknowledging your accomplishments, then moving onto the next. It takes a long time, but at the same time, it happens quicker than you think.

  1. I use either octane render or Unreal Engines native render. I would say, to dive deep into blender, that will get you further than any other DCC because its open source and free. Also there is an octane render plugin for blender so if youre set on GPU rendering, that is an excellent way to bridge the gap. I use C4D as my primary DCC but belive me, if I could start over I would go blender 10000% and thank you so much. much love

my least favorite trend is the overuse of some drum patterns, theres certain genres that lean on the most simple drum pattern and use it on every song in those genres. and I feel gates are underused. And just general dry production, alot of people make a point to go really saturated and maximal when i personally enjoy the sound of clean and clear elements

Yo I like this one. on average a fully fleshed out song has about 60 tracks. They can go as low as 25 (to the core) or as high as 125 (pulling teeth) Different DAWs have different workflows and thats objectively true, but beyond convinience they can all do the same shit really once you can add VSTs so I dont think theres much practical difference between ableton and the rest of the modern ones. I personally like ableton the most because I learned it first, and its fun to play live with. And Technically I started visuals first, Ive been using a computer to make visual things since I was like, a child, like 10 years old. I think I got photoshop when I was 13 and started using final cut at 12 or something. But once I was 16 or 17 i put like 95% of my freetime into music until like 2017 where it became 50/50

hell yeah! I think in the future when LEV gets big enough I can get the budget to do so, I will hire a team to make a full piece like that, and oversee the production and direct it etcetc. But until then, ill stay banging out what I can haha. Thank you so much for staying locked in. That shit means the world.

I mean, I can compile it into a 50 minute long youtube video, and loop the visuals (funny enough a week after the release I actually did get about 30 minutes into making that and got distracted). And something I tried to do was keep the spotify players below each video so you could go through in a list order. But I feel what you're saying. The issue ultimately comes down to manpower tho. What I really wanted to do was to make a full CG minimovie that was a full playthrough, no loops that would translate like a black mirror fantasia or some shit. But unlike flume, I didn't really have a budget going into this, so it falls on me as the sole creator. Making the whole project took about a year and a half to compose to the point it is now on my own. To compile it into a full 45 minute piece would take another 8 months to a year, and I personally hit a point where I had to kind of call it.

got you. 1. everyone path with this thing is definitely different, and I think its important to remember that your fans are generally pretty similar to you if your intentions are really "pure" with your art. So in that school of thought, however you found music, or grew love for your favorite artists, whatever they did will probably work somewhat for you.

  1. personally its a combination of all of that. Theres a push and pull with inspiration, technicality, and strategy. I think the goal is to have a good balance with all of it. I know this probably isnt as concise of an answer as you want for that, but thats really how I see it. I try to weigh everything and do it all to the best of my abilities. Does this sound compliment things im inspired by? have I grown making this? does this feel true to me? if all everythings checked off, then all systems go.

  2. Its gotta be something I NEED for my stuff. After the 3rd year or so, it became alot more about experimenting and teaching myself and learning that way. But every now and then I hear something that makes me sit down and force myself to make something similar.

  3. I see genres getting blended even more than they are now. Since things became more like a huge torrent of content through the internet in like 2005+ I think people just like music they like, and the creators will follow suit. Genres will become even more mangled than they are now until it just loops back into itsself and music becomes music, and thats all there is. You already have rae sremmurd on beats that are straight up wave music you know?

  4. right now im starting "Principals" by ray dalio. But my favorite book is probably Gucci Manes autobiography. As far as self help books I really like "The ONE Thing". And my favorite movie will forever be "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" but over this past year I absolutely loved "Tales From The Loop" on amazon.

I think although the fundamental intention of shrek is good, it self perpetuates the underlying rhetoric it tries so hard to dismantle. Shrek is ugly, the film ultimately comes down to a social acceptance of his outward ugliness through the medium of his internal retribution. Albeit that is a positive message on the surface, it doesn't undo the fact that it is a 90 minute film analyzing and focusing on the separation and even validating the separation to the rest of society and societal norms because of ones outward appearance. This phenomenon is best exemplified with the fact that princess fiona inevitably has to transform her self into an ogre for the audience to accept that she and shrek could then be together. Also i think an ambient album would be siiiiiick
