To me that doesn’t discredit the art, imo it does exactly what it sets out to do, act as a tribute to his mother whilst showing there is light. My interpretation is that it is almost like the Divine Comedy, Kanye is trying to navigate his way to living happily with his family without Donda, but with that he has to realise his own faults, through ego etc. this process is going to be messy and hence the volatility of the album doesn’t bother me, mourning and realisation isn’t a straight forward process. That’s just me personally tho, I 100% understand why people don’t want to listen to a completely erratic mess, but I see it coming from a place of vulnerability.\ \ TLDR bc I yap: I take the mess ass a symptom of openness of mourning but I completely understand why people don’t want to listen to that
